Thanks for the image resize and clean-up. Much appreciated! Timemachine1967 (talk) 07:16, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Filmcat[edit]

Please stop removing Category:Malayalam-language films from articles. According to WP:FILMCAT, all films must have three main cats: year, country and language. If there is some change to this that I don't know about, please let me know, otherwise, that edit will be reverted. BOVINEBOY2008 07:45, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the article Raghupati Raghava Rajaram should be deleted, specially as it does not have the coverage to merit being one of those rare exceptions to WP:NFF. However, as it is one in a series of recent problems for director Shaji Kailas, I went ahead and added one sourced sentence to Shaji Kailas#2000-Present, mentioning Raghupati Raghava Rajaram in context to his other recent setbacks as a director.[1] Might you agree that after deletion, and as readers might search for the cancelled film by name, that a redirect to the director's section will serve? I also believe a redirect will help prevent an inappropriate recreation of this article. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 22:23, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comment at the AFD. Much appreciated. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 08:52, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sreejithk2000, I've just updated File:100 Australian dollars front.jpg with an Australian Note-specific copyright template. I'd encourage you to check your free-use rationale, given that the Reserve Bank of Australia provides a general exemption for note reproductions under certain conditions. twilsonb (talk) 04:21, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Categories for discussion nomination of Category:Photographs of Indian politicians[edit]

Category:Photographs of Indian politicians, which you created, has been nominated for deletion, merging, or renaming. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the Categories for discussion page. Thank you. image_size[edit]

Are you running a bot of some sort? I have had to revert a change you made three times now. Removing the image_size from Dug's Special Mission renders to image way too small. Please consider that the default image size (200px) is catered to upright movie posters only, but that is too small for landscape images. EdokterTalk 13:49, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatroller[edit]

Hi Sreejithk2000, just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled right to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature should have little to no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! battling image format tagging[edit]

Would it be possible for you to work more closely with User:Eeekster. File:Museum Foundation logo.jpg was recently tagged and retagged with maintenance tags suggesting it be converted first to PNG and then one suggesting it be converted to SVG. While I understand that some editors feel very strongly about one image format over another, the battling tags is unnecessary.--RadioFan (talk) 12:47, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism Reported[edit]

You have reverted 2 edits by me and reported as vandalism, please explain the revision as its not considered as vandalism (As per wikipedia vandalism policy)

  1. Summer in bethlehem (Edit for kitten)
  2. Vridhanmarae Sukshikkuka (Malayalam Pronounciation) if its not malayalam pronounciation what language it is --English...??? Please check the tag on the page
  3. Veega Land - Vandalism is not done by me, May be by another user, I have changed the price and add a picture only--- Please explain the revision

Reply[edit]

  1. So still i can add the word about kitten in an encyclopedic way...
  2. Accepted the explanation and noted,Will be reminded while doing any similar edits..
  3. Thanks (Please remove my name from the vandalism report of description)

--Kalarickan (talk) 10:11, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the first two comments but the edit description cannot be changed now. You dont have to worry about that anyways. Its not part of any report and its not counted in anyway. --Sreejith K (talk) 10:16, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • The edit summary label of vandalism was bluntly wrong, and goes against WP:Assume good faith and WP:Do not bite the newcomers. If this user has no history of vandalism, then no presumption of vandalism should be made. Such an accusation is serious and should not be dispensed lightly, especially for editors who try never to do so.
  • The edit description "cannot be changed" but it can be deleted along with that edit. And it can certainly be amended in a followup edit summary " unsourced was the edit reason, not vandalism." This would comply with WP:5PILLARS spirit of civility.
  • The vandalism label will show up in a search for deletions or reversions under that user's name. Not sure why you think that doesn't "count."
Your rapidfire editing style seems to occur at the cost of some accuracy. If you're running a bot, that fact should be disclosed on your User page, with some way for other editors to shut it off. --Lexein (talk) 11:01, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for contributing to and clarifying part of Summer in Bethlahem. Please see Talk:Summer in Bethlahem for a couple of questions (uncle, etc). --Lexein (talk) 08:06, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Swarnalatha[edit]

Image is not in public domain, and its taken from a copyrighted source, 60 years required for the image to enter in the public domain. Non-Free use for this image can only be applicable where it meets 8 rules of wiki. --Kalarickan (talk) 10:26, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thats not actually true. Although the work is copyrighted, a low-resolution version of the image can be used to specify the subject of the article provided a free content is not available or cannot be generated. Swarnalatha is no more and so no free photographs of her can be generated. Please see the licensing section of the image for more details. --Sreejith K (talk) 10:31, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re:[edit]

Image cannot be used as it doesn't come under the 8 rules of wiki, Free content may be available somewhere outside, we dont know. Only a dead persons picture can be published if it complies with the indian copyright act. if it is not all can upload anybody's image in Non-free category (Many be a low res). I prefer this questions should ask to a wikiexpert for photograph..--Kalarickan (talk) 10:57, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image Uploads[edit]

Hi Sreejithk2000,

It seems that, the low re-image is going to stay there. I have gone through several rules of wiki. In one page its saying fair use is possible and at the end it allowing as per US copyright act. I have one question, If a picture is taken by me (PIXXXX.jpg) and i uploaded to several copyrighted website. After some years the photographed person is died. Somebody took my picture from the internet and posted on Wikipedia in fair-use (As per US laws). So still i can file a case against Wikipedia for illegally using my photograph without the authorization from its original photographer, as Indian laws allows it. I would like to have your opinion on this.if it doesn't make any problem at all, I have some important pictures where the subject is dead.--Kalarickan (talk) 11:29, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re:[edit]

I agree with your comments, but still point no 4 lacking the real info. All the contents in the Mathrubhumi News paper is copyrighted and no one cannot take any/part of the material to wiki or any other webpages. If its so the original photographer or Mathrubhumi can claim that Wiki has taken the picture without the approval of Mathrubhumi or the photographer..Pls clarify so that it will avoid the clouds..Kalarickan (talk) 12:03, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Ranjith[edit]

Re your message: I can release the protection on that article name, but I am a bit leery about making it a redirect to Renjith since there are other articles that may reasonably be redirected to that article. Perhaps a disambiguation page is in order here? I can release the protection for you if you are willing to create the disambiguation page. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:39, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I will create the disambiguation page. Thanks for letting me know that there are more articles which has Ranjith as the first name or last. --Sreejith K (talk) 04:14, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: The article name is now unlocked. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:34, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You![edit]

Thank you for uploading a newer version of the File:Patricia Neal.jpg photo I submitted around the time of her passing. Would you mind adding your version of it to the article so's that the picture won't get deleted when the old one's time is up?

The article always takes the latest version. When the old version with high resolution gets deleted, the newer smaller one still remains on wiki and the article will not get affected. --Sreejith K (talk) 04:24, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: NBA 2K[edit]

Re your message: I left the IP a {{uw-3rr}} warning about it. Should they not heed the warning and not discuss the inclusion of the screen shot on the talk page, you can report them to the Edit warring notice board. It is better to report edit warring issues there instead of to me directly just in case I happen to not be around when the edit warring happens. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:46, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A request[edit]

Hello, I know that you work quite a bit with images and I am wondering if you take requests?

File:Nobel Peace Price Concert 2009 Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith with children2.jpg (Original at Wikimedia)

Is the image of high enough resolution that a closeup of an individual could be cropped and provide a reasonable quality image for use at Willow Smith? The fullbody longshot requires that you actually click on the image for it to have any value in identifying the subject of the article.Active Banana (bananaphone 22:45, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Willow Smith.jpg already existed in commons. So I have changed the article Willow Smith to have this picture. --Sreejith K (talk) 04:45, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
