Hidden versions[edit]

@Alexis Jazz: The list shows all files with deleted/hidden versions. Users (usually admins) have to check manually if the old/hidden version is a copyvio or "a penis" that should not be restored or if it is a good version. A keep local does not prevent us from moving good files to Commons it only prevent us from deleting the file on enwiki. --MGA73 (talk) 11:05, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Alexis Jazz, I apologize for the noise. I added this category manually to 400+ images using AWB and I see there are a lot of false positives. I will clean up the list in my capacity soon. But the category name stands good. These images cannot be transferred to commons because it has a hidden file version. I got a little help to test it and added some info: Special:Diff/1030560333.
I think it is best only to add files that are 100% good for Commons. If too many bad files is added to the category then it might be hard to persuade admins to spend time on the files. --MGA73 (talk) 18:06, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I was not talking about scope. I was thinking that that some of the logos in the category looks complex so I was not sure that they were clearly PD-ineligible. Copy to Commons[edit]

Hello @Sreejithk2000:. I noticed the file, File:Alexander Granach as Knock in Nosferatu (1922).png, you put the tag "Copy to commons" template. However, as far as I can tell, this file is ineligible for this. The file is a still from the film Nosferatu, which, while public domain in the United States, is not public domain in its home country of Germany. Annisa1.jpg[edit]

You tagged File:Annisa1.jpg and File:Annisa2.jpg as suitable for moving to Commons. I can't blame you: Google images returned nothing. Upon seeing File:Annisa1.jpg I immediately felt like I've seen it before, but haven't been able to prove if this is just a déjà vu or if I really did. Regardless I searched and found https://www.afisha.uz/photo/2012/06/07/championat-asia-bodybuilding-woman/15738/. It isn't the same photo, but it's the same woman at the same show and assuming contestant numbers change every year it should be the same year as well. But as can be seen on other photos from that album, it's from 2012. The description for File:Annisa1.jpg says "Annisa Lailatul Fajriyah at IFFB 2000". That can't be correct and combined with the low resolution and lack of metadata, I would advise against transferring to Commons. And according to Indosport.com her name is "Sri Jadiah Al Nur". See also File:Icha90tea.jpg from presumably an alternative account of User:Icha90tea, the uploader of File:Annisa1.jpg and File:Annisa2.jpg. That name gives at least a few search results while "Annisa Lailatul Fajriyah" only returns Wikipedia and https://www.facebook.com/Annisa.Lailatul.Fajriyah90 which appears to be a different person. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 00:33, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an administrator here, I am an admin in Malayalam Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. I have moved Vilayath Buddha to main namespace, the article looks good.
