Editor's Message
Bienvenue! Velkommen! Welcome!

As you may have noticed we have improved the newsletter format to make it more exciting and diverse to use. From now on we will publish two versions of the newsletter; a compact version (which will appear on your talk page) and the full edition (which you will be able to read by clicking the newspaper icon located on the compact version). The compact version will provide you with the monthly project statistics in brief. We have also made some modifications to the newsletter too. Two new features have been implemented to the top header of our newsletters, the first is the Eurovision Heart logo; clicking on this will send you direct to your own talk page, the second feature is the issue month itself, clicking on this will direct you back to the compact statistics page - why not test out the new features for yourselves and let us know what you think of them. Content within the newsletter has also been changed. We will now provide information on what is being published via news portals across the internet, so that you may update their relevant articles is you wish (and we will also include the source too just in case you need any references to add to your article updates). On the right-hand side of the newsletter will be a list of articles that require improvements, along with a full outlook of the project's statistics for your viewing. We hope you like this new style, feel free to share your views via the project talk page; we look forward to reading them.

For those of you who have got Eurovision withdrawal symptoms, then don't panic. We have the ABU TV Song Festival 2013 in Vietnam to look forward to, as well as the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Kiev. Your contributions to both of these articles are gratefully appreciated. Remember it is teamwork collaborations that help to make this project a success. And as always, be on the look out for potential new members to the project. Post {{subst:EurovisionInvite}} (which will produced this template) on any user page you think is interested to join the WikiProject, to officially invite them to join. And finally, please give a warm welcome to our newest member of the Newsletter team, Mr. Gerbear.

Happy editing! Wesley & Mr. Gerbear

  • Eurovision Song Contest 2013 was GA nominated on 27 June 2013.
  • Remember to use reliable sources at all times. Anything unsourced and/or is using an unreliable source will be removed. A list of some reliable sources can be found by clicking here.
  • Avoid using the term "possible debut", "possible return", and "possible withdrawal". The term possible makes us sound speculative and is prohibited per Crystal Ball guidelines. Any such information should be added to the "Other countries" section, with a citation for verifiability.
  • Also make sure that you regularly communicate with fellow project members via article talk pages. Communication is a natural human skill, and we should be trying our best to discuss things with each other, so that we all know what is going on. None of us are mind-readers.
  • Please remember to keep checking the project articles that have been flagged up as an alert. Since our last publication the following are listed as alerts:
  • There is a RFC taking place on the project talk page which could do with as many members contributing to it. Your say will help to achieve consensus on how '[Country]' in the Eurovision Song Contest articles should be stylised and written more encyclopaedically for the general audience and not just for the average ESC-fan. Please KEEP IT CIVIL!!!
