A state top icon template which is used by one user. Can be replaced with Template:WikiProject country member top icon either with the default non-moving flag, or with the |image= parameter if the more annoying moving one is wanted. Gonnym (talk) 23:13, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How would this work for the default Alaskan flag? Would just adding country=Alaska work? AlaskaGal~ ^_^ 23:20, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, exactly: {{WikiProject country member top icon|country=Alaska}}. Gonnym (talk) 23:28, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nomination. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 01:11, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete, but we should name the generic template something else since Alaska is not a country. Frietjes (talk) 23:54, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unused WikiProject country and state top icon templates which were replaced with Template:WikiProject country member top icon. Gonnym (talk) 23:11, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment dunno about the others, but the US top icon links to almost 500 pages, so perhaps that one should be kept? I see there is now a generic template for countries, but what neccessitates the need to delete {{WikiProject United States topicon}}...? - wolf 02:23, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The link usage is pretty much "fake" and comes from Template:Top icon templates. Once that is removed, you'll see it basically has none. Gonnym (talk) 15:24, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    Didn't... really... answer the question - wolf 09:12, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicated in its use by Template:Yearsincomics. There might be value to a generic template with a title like this, but this ain't it. Izno (talk) 22:05, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per nom. I was comparing Template:Yearsincomics and Template:Years in film and thinking about a generic template. I think the only issue might be the many ifexists checks that would possibly be needed to reduce red links. Gonnym (talk) 22:56, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The above are all unused KML templates for miscellaneous areas. Since these are non-road, paths or lines maps, I don't feel comfortable adding these. If anyone wants to add one, feel free and let me know and I'll strike the template from the list. Gonnym (talk) 15:59, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nomination. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 01:11, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and close as malformed - Unused is not a rationale for deletion, these aren't non-free photos. This is background data and not a template, why are you nominating subpages of an active template for deletion? 76.67.45.120 (talk) 15:30, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can disagree with my nomination, but in no way is it malformed, nor is your assertion that Unused is not a rationale for deletion. It clearly is as the community has deleted numerous amounts of unused templates. Also, these are templates, and it is irrelevant if they are background data or some other kind. If they aren't used, they serve no function. Gonnym (talk) 20:07, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's simply not true, this serves as the KML foundation that generates the geoJSON data used by the map in the article in the case of the residential school gravesites. 76.67.45.120 (talk) 20:40, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are incorrect. If it was used, it would have been shown as a transclusion. Also, what map are you referring to? I don't see a map in that article. Ok, now I see. User:Floydian (which I'm assuming is you), added it here and it was removed right after. If you look at the code you added, the map data is taken from Commons:Data:Canadian Indian residential school gravesites.map which is not even here but from WP:Commons. --Gonnym (talk) 23:11, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The above are all unused KML templates for parks. Since these are non-road, paths or lines maps, I don't feel comfortable adding these. If anyone wants to add one, feel free and let me know and I'll strike the template from the list. Gonnym (talk) 15:57, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nomination. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 01:11, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. None of these attached KML files are used on the articles themselves. Additionally, to my knowledge, all three already have interactive maps or pushpin maps, in addition to coordinates. As such, the KML files may be unnecessary. – Epicgenius (talk) 17:12, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This sidebar template created 2 months ago is still unused. It should either be added or deleted. From checking a few pages it links to, those already have more than one sidebar so not sure how helpful adding even more clutter to the main reading area is. Gonnym (talk) 11:04, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete There is no main subject of Liberal Christianity and all links are general Christianity topics already linked on other sidebars. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 01:11, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This meta navbox is unused and should also never be used. If any of the specific year navboxes should be used, then the relevant template should be used on those pages (though by looking at them, a lot of them seem to be full of non-links so no sure how helpful even they are).
