Nakba

I wonder if anyone of you took a look at this article Nakba.

I think it is a big failure (over years) in Wkipedia NPOV policy.

BC/AD in articles related to Jewish history

Some editors insist on using BC/AD (Before Christ/Anno Domini) instead of BCE/CE (Before/Common Era). The latest example is Josephus. See Talk:Josephus. Humus sapiensTalk 09:54, 29 July 2005 (UTC)

Israel legislative election, 2006

Having returned from Israel and experienced the atmosphere that is going on in this campaign, in my opinion the most interesting and competitive one in Israel's electoral history, I feel it might be more appropriate if we begin restructuring this article onto a timeframe beginning in November with Peretz's election to cover the events more comprehensively, rather than in it's current form of media snippet summaries. The amount of major events occuring in this election are ridiculous (eg. Peretz election, Likud split, Peres departure, Likud primaries re: Feiglan, Peres departure, Sharon heart attack, Mafdal (NRP) and National Union split, Shinui collapse, Likud ministers resign) and I expect we will see far more occuring as the campaign begins.

Israeli Wikipedians will be a big help in this article in regards to photos of campaign posters. I unfortunately only took a photo of a double Peretz campaign billboard on my last day in Tel Aviv, but there is still many other bits of media around. My current interest is in the media from the Likud primaries, posted around on public walls, in addition to some of the Sharon Kadima material in public (there is less of this, although I saw some in Jerusalem post-Heart Attack). I'm annoyed that I didn't take more at the time, and I feel if we don't act quickly we will lose much coverage. Having photos such as those used in the Australian federal election, 2004 page will help make the campaign coverage more comprehensive.

I'm thinking we should produce a draft article before we apply the new format. I've still got a couple of weeks before I start my final year of school, so I can begin something of that form. It would also be helpful if someone can help me locate some online media articles in regards to the various evetns. Any and all help will be appreciated. Evolver of Borg 21:31, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

UN SC resolutions concerning Israel: under chapter VI or VII?

Could someone provide info under which chapter of the United Nations Charter the List of the UN resolutions concerning Israel and Palestine#United Nations Security Council resolutions were passed? The difference between Ch.VI and VII is binding/non-binding respectively. The dispute is at Talk:UN Security Council Resolution 446#Non-binding resolutions. In some cases (such as S/RES/242), the official records say chapter VI. ?Humus sapiens ??? 10:53, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

banning of Pro Israel editors

You may be intesrted to look at this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_arbitration/Zeq/Proposed_decision

It resulted from very low particiopation in articles about the Middle east by pro-israeli editors which left it open for palestinian propeganda.

A political flag in a geographical article

A combative anon keeps inserting the Palestinian flag into article Palestinian territories. While political articles State of Palestine, Palestinian people and Palestinian National Authority carry the flag, the territories article says: "The Palestinian territories are geographic areas ... whose status is pending the conclusion of negotiations between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization." See Talk:Palestinian territories#Flag. ?Humus sapiens ??? 08:57, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
