This is simply a style guideline Wikipedia uses on all pages – unless a title is used to form the unambiguous name by which the subject is clearly best known (as in Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa or Father Damien), it is not included in a page title. But I would caution you that writing an article is a very difficult task and I would recommend spending time improving existing articles first, so you get used to how Wikipedia works, our policies, guidelines, and style. 331dot, as a former professional editor and proofreader, I am well aware that spotting typos like can be quite difficult for some people without an aptitude for it, even ignoring any barriers like poor eyesight, dyslexia and inadequate display devices that might be in play. The former fad for the whole word method of teaching reading, inimical to spotting single-character errors, can also have a lasting legacy.

I agree that spotting typos and other smol errors is not necessarily equally easy for everyone, but when there's an error message right next to the typo saying invalid date it should generally be possible for a person to figure out the problem. Noting for completeness that not all invalid dates are equally trivial, but a year centuries in the future is on the more trivial side.

And yes, it's much quicker to fix these errors than try to teach this contributor, but another option would be leaving the affected articles in Category:CS1 errors: dates (310) for gnomes to fix organically, instead of posting about each of them at this venue without ever showing signs of improvement. Option to change language[edit]

I came to read this article : Hamzah Fansuri It seems to me there is no option to change a language! Sometimes I read in English but I need to read in Arabic language as well To go to translation tool, it takes a long time or not working. As much as I know , there is a shift change for languages any time It looks like nowadays the choice of changing languages is missing. MohammadAA33. en Wikipedia has recently adopted a new skin (appearance), there is information on how to choose the old skin at Wikipedia:Vector 2022. Foreign language versions can be accessed by clicking on the word languages at top right, rather than bottom left as in the previous version. The other language versions are written by editors, rather than automatically translated, so Hamzah Fansuri does not currently have an Arabic version. Hi @LMPAJ. The key thing is if Hector passes the WP:NPOLITICIAN threshold. You will note Mayors aren't inherently notable, so you'd need to prove notability by showing significant press coverage. I can see a lot of sources from North Jersey Media Group, but a lot of these are trivial mentions or routine coverage. I've had a look at the other sources and they suffer from the same issue.

@LMPAJ: I don't think we can know whether the regular coverage is a reflection of the mayor's policies and/or a reflection of the mayor's press office and/or something else. An article on the incumbent mayor of a town with 70,537 people might not satisfy WP:NPOLITICIAN. Unless you can find significant coverage of the subject in the popular press, as editor Qcne has suggested, it is unlikely that the draft article would pass WP:AfC, and that an accepted draft would survive a community review at WP:AfD.

If I can offer an alternative approach:

In December 2016, editor Hmains moved Mayor of Passaic, New Jersey to List of mayors of Passaic, New Jersey. The edit summary noted that the Mayor article was then a list.
One possibility could be to revert to the former state of affairs, with List of mayors of Passaic, New Jersey redirecting to Mayor of Passaic, New Jersey or Local government of Passaic, New Jersey:
- In this article, a biography of the incumbent mayor would be included as a section.
- Either article would need to be more than a list of previous mayors and a biography of the current mayor: its primary focus would need to be the structure and history of local government and its elections.
- The article should incorporate content currently in Passaic, New Jersey#Local government. The section already contains biographies of local politicians, which are inappropriate for the purposes of an article focussed on the settlement.

Level 4+ headings[edit]

I was looking at Hamilton High School (Chandler, Arizona) today and noticed that some of the sections under athletics (such as "football" and the following "history" section) have fourth- and fifth-level headings, but there seems to be no visual distinction between these. They are reflected properly in the ToC and HTML, but have the same font size and weight, which makes it visually difficult to see the hierarchy while looking at the article. Is there anything to do here? Is there a general guideline that this many nested headings is discouraged? Is it worth splitting out, say, the athletics section to its own heading? @LittlePuppers: Up to level 6 is possible. "level 7" syntax makes a level 6 heading where the header text starts and ends with '='. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Layout#Headings and sections does not discourage level 5 and 6. They look the same as level 4 in the default skin Vector 2022 and the previous default Vector legacy but they are different in MonoBook and Timeless at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rendering. Level 4, 5 and 6 are normal size text but just bold in Vector. Level 4 and 5 are larger in MonoBook and Timeless. The English Wikipedia could change header styling in Vector but level 5 and 6 are rarely used and I don't see a need. You can change it for yourself with code like below in your CSS. For completeness, in Minerva, subheading levels five and six render as normal text, neither boldfaced nor embiggened. For this reason, I prefer the "bold non-header" (newline + initial ;).

I've seen level five in the wild (History of China), which already connotes to me that perhaps a restructure is indicated. The semicolon markup is not for making bold text or pseudo headings. Don't do newline + initial ;. See MOS:PSEUDOHEAD.

Industrial Tools, writing an article about a company won't be taken as inherently promotional. However, if the company in question is named "Industrial Tools" (or if you happen to be associated with any companies named Industrial Tools, even if you don't plan on writing about them), you should first file a request to change your username.

Before writing the article, please read WP:NCORP to check the company is notable enough to have an article.

Also, if you are at all associated with the company, such as as an employee, please read about conflicts-of-interest and disclose your relation (If you're paid to edit Wikipedia, please also read WP:PAID). Please note that Wikipedia has little interest in what the subject of an article says or wants to say about themselves, or what their associates say about them. Wikipedia is almost entirely interested in what people who have no connection with the subject, and who have not been prompted or fed information on behalf of the subject, have chosen to publish about the subject in reliable sources. If enough material is cited from independent sources to establish notability, a limited amount of uncontroversial factual information may be added from non-independent sources.
