I edit articles on many diverse subjects including Asian history and geography, the history of the Silk Roads, Australian fauna and flora, and West Indian history and culture. I have published a book, now in its 2-volume 2nd edition:- Through the Jade Gate - China to Rome: A Study of the Silk Routes 1st to 2nd centuries CE which includes the first complete English translation of the chapter on the countries to the west of China from the Hou Hanshu. I am preparing another book - a translation of the 3rd century CE, the Weilüe, which also describes the Silk Routes both overland and maritime between China, India, Central Asia and Rome. Epolk (talk·contribs) I have been an editor for about a decade. Per X!'s Tools I have over 17,000 edits, 14,000+ of which are on unique pages. As the number of articles on Wikipedia have reached a critical mass, I have moved from creating and proofreading articles to creating citations for existing articles. The publicly available sources for searching scholarly works usually point to an abstract for an article or a pay site (e.g. JSTOR) so my ability to provide accurate and complete citations are currently limited. As for my areas of interest, they tend toward history and the sciences, especially zoology as this area seems to be most in need of expansion and citation of sources. I use ProveIt and I am a frequent user of "inline edit inline citation" summaries. I take great care with citations using DOI, PMID, ISBN, etc. I often cite peer-reviewed academic articles. I participated in an editathon. I would use EBSCO to add content and to improve references by adding reference details. I am no longer working with an academic institution so I do not have easy access to journals. I read The Economist regularly whenever I can. I'm frequently involved in article creation and referencing repair, particularly but not exclusively on Canadian and LGBT topics — and perusing the list of publications on EBSCO's site, I see several titles (The Advocate, Gay & Lesbian Review Worldwide, almost anything with the word "Canadian" in it, etc.) that I've long wanted and/or needed to get into. Just yesterday, in fact — and I don't mean "seems like yesterday", I mean literally within the past 24 hours — I was struggling to find enough referencing to start a new article, and came across an indication that there was content in EBSCO that would have helped. I managed, for the time being, to get the article started — but getting to that EBSCO stuff to see if there's anything else I can add to the article would still help. @Skr15081997: You meet the requirements and your editing history looks good. The only thing I'm curious about, though is the topic area (non-fiction books). From your history it looks to me like you've spent a lot of time editing articles on films, but not much on books. Is this going to be a new topic area for you? Or are the book-related edits just lost in the shuffle? And please note that I'm just asking this in order to assess the degree of a match between your stated intentions and the kinds of sourcing the collections offer. They also possibly have Rolling Stone and Billboard articles. The access granted here is for use of the EBSCO databases for a 1-year period. If your use of the database is actually just limited to the duration of a single FA, then you may be more interested in asking for assistance from editors who use EBSCO (including users who have even broader access levels than what we offer) at WP:RX.
