Disambiguation pages

Hello, Werldwayd. When you moved Lorie to a new title and then changed the old title into a disambiguation page, you may not have been aware of WP:FIXDABLINKS, which says:

A code of honor for creating disambiguation pages is to fix all resulting mis-directed links.
Before moving an article to a qualified name (in order to create a disambiguation page at the base name, to move an existing disambiguation page to that name, or to redirect that name to a disambiguation page), click on What links here to find all of the incoming links. Repair all of those incoming links to use the new article name.

It would be a great help if you would check the other Wikipedia articles that contain links to "Lorie" and fix them to take readers to the correct article. Thanks. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 11:57, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

The article Silence Speaks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

RyanDan album Silence Speaks was shelved without release to be replaced by another prospective release of 'Imagine, also not released for some reason

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on File:Mytown-album-by-mytown.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Stefan2 (talk) 13:04, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:The-bilz-album-featuring-kashif.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:The-bilz-album-featuring-kashif.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:08, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

The article Dave Bassett (songwriter) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 16:01, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Eric Legnini. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:14, 14 February 2013 (UTC)

The large number of incoming links to these redirects indicates that there is a stable expectation that they will point to sex positive movement as the primary topic of these terms. Speedy deletion of "Vinnie Who"

A page you created, Vinnie Who, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a band or other musical group, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for musical groups in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. —DuncanWhat I Do / What I Say 07:32, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 15

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Repost of Goat (band)

A tag has been placed on Goat (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 13:48, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

"Uncover" peaked at number 5 in Norway?

Hello! Regarding the edit you made to the Zara Larsson article: You noted that the song "Uncover" has peaked at number 5 in Norway, but when I check the source you added, it actually says number 12, not 5. Where did you get that information from, if I'm unable to find it in the stated source? Thanks in advance, HeyMid (contribs) 09:59, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

Here is the reference for having reached #5 in Norway up from #12 last week: http://lista.vg.no/ This is her third week in the Norwegian charts werldwayd (talk) 10:03, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
I guess the charts will be updated next week with the peaks from this week (week 3). Nice to see that she is also making success in other countries than Sweden! Best regards, HeyMid (contribs) 10:13, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
True. NorwegianCharts.com takes its information from VG-lista but it takes for them a few days to reflect that. Charts are updated on VG-lista Thursdays just like Sverigetopplistan is updated every Friday. Again Swedishcharts.com would be late a few days. As for Swedish success outside Sweden, it is truly amazing. Take Swedish singer Arash whose song "She Makes Me Go" is charting this week in France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and all over Eastern Europe like Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Slovakia. Here is the song by the Swedish singer Arash featuring Sean Paul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYUHjKnTrS8 werldwayd (talk) 10:23, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
According to the article, Arash's song was relaunched last month in three of the countries you just mentioned. Anyway, as a Swede I find it amazing that artists like these can make worldwide success! Have a nice day, Werldwayd! Best regards, HeyMid (contribs) 10:33, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:World-music-album-by-goat.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:World-music-album-by-goat.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

The article Jamal (band) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Reepublic requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Danrok (talk) 03:13, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Dave Bassett (songwriter), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion".
