You might want to check this season's stats line. I think it should be two league goals, and he can't have scored in the FA Cup. - Dudesleeper / Talk 19:52, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bloomers[edit]

Oops, I forgot to get back to you on the capacity. Sorry about that. - Dudesleeper / Talk 14:02, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism?[edit]

Have a look at this. Surely they didn't just print Wikipedia articles and release it as their own work? - Dudesleeper / Talk 13:30, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

John Cross[edit]

Yes, please pass along Cross's contact details when you get a chance. Thanks. - Dudesleeper / Talk 00:06, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

this is the guy from the Ian Stuart disscussion. How are you going to delete my posts but not the man's post, where he wrote that Ian Stuart was an asshole? Degrogatory/Innappropriate?

Thornton[edit]

Is the Cala Gran even in Thornton? I thought it was over the Cod Head line... - Dudesleeper / Talk 14:06, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Euell[edit]

Are you sure he's captain? He hasn't started a game for a while... - Dudesleeper talk 12:43, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stephen Crainey[edit]

I have attempted to delete a part of this page, which you apparantly object to. If you can give me a reason why unsubsttantiated newspaper speculation is considered notable enough to be included I will stop - as has been said before, newspapers carry stories about transfer rumours every day, most of which, like this piece of history, come to nothing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.110.107.64 (talk) 00:04, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non Free Images in your User Space[edit]

Hey there Tangerines, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free files are not allowed in the user or talk-space. Re: Jason Euell[edit]

Makes sense. I'm not a fan of denoting the vice-captain, but club captain and team captain, yes. - Dudesleeper talk 13:13, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blackpool books[edit]

Gerry Wolstenholme tells me he's in the midst of writing two books on the club. He says he's doing them in a hurry. I think one of them will be a reissuing of the player grids in Roy Calley's books, because he's irked at how incorrect they are. Not sure on the other one. - Dudesleeper talk 01:16, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rotherham united & the chuckle brothers[edit]

Hi tangerine: I am hoping to draw your attention to the Rotherham united page. A section has been added again on the chuckle brothers - I see that this is something you have lambasted in the past. Would you be able to review and add your comment? Thanks. 79.72.185.231 (talk) 22:17, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated 2007–08 Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2007–08 Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Bettia (talk) 10:35, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2008–09 Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy has also been listed as part of this AfD. Bettia (talk) 10:52, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Knock, knock[edit]

Everything alright over there? You haven't been on much, which is odd considering the recent adventures of our fine footie club. - Dudesleeper talk 00:07, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It seems Soccerbase is off on a few League appearances for some players. Southern, for example, is shown as making 45 appaearances, whereas the club's official website has him down as 46 (2). It doesn't state whether the two sub appearances are inclusive, which means that they too could have it wrong. We need a definitive source. - Dudesleeper talk 11:20, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blackpool F.C Squad Numbers[edit]

I know but I think it is better to have last years squad numbers rather than none at all until the new ones are released. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.153.99.118 (talk) 19:29, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As he has played (Sky Sports reported at 3 mins after kick off: "Direct free kick taken right-footed by Mark Halstead (Blackpool) from own half, resulting in open play.") I have restored the article, and added a brief mention about this first game. If you can find a reliable source which mentions it (you'll probably need to find it after the game is completed), then that can be added to verify the information -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 19:27, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you and don't worry I update all the Blackpool players anyway after each game so I know what to do and to do it after the game! Thanks for your help!--♦Tangerines♦·Talk 19:29, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've actually added both the reference, and a link to BBC Sport's player profile for him! It's over to you now (I'm not a great footy fan!) -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 19:32, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Tibetan naming conventions[edit]

A while back, I posted a new proposal for Tibetan naming conventions, i.e. conventions that can be used to determine the most appropriate titles for articles related to the Tibetan region. This came out of discussions about article titles on Talk:Qamdo and Talk:Lhoka (Shannan) Prefecture. I hope that discussions on the proposal's talk page will lead to consensus in favour of making these conventions official, but so far only a few editors have left comments. If you would be interested in taking a look at the proposed naming conventions and giving your opinion, I would definitely appreciate it. Thanks—Nat Krause(Talk!·What have I done?) 16:24, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Urban Regeneration Companies[edit]

Hi Tangerines. I've just added a colon in front of Category:Urban Regeneration Companies so that your To Do page doesn't appear in the category page. Hope that's OK. --Northernhenge (talk) 20:48, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, I've reverted your recent changes to the above article. If you wish to discuss then feel free to send me a message on the matter. Regards ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 03:13, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Basically why I was opposed to your edits are as followed:
  • (1) You replaced the Soccerway reference with a Soccerbase reference (when the latter doesn't include his Altrincham stats) so therefore it doesn't full reference the stats table. Note Soccerbase was already included in external links.
  • (2) You removed Blackpool his parent club from the stats table, they should be included despite the fact he hasn't played a game for them. More importantly the infobox only displays league matches, by including Blackpool in the stats table it makes it clearer to readers that he hasn't made a cup appearance for them.
  • (3) The template which was added doesn't include an other column, therefore having to included other fixtures in Total which makes the table look at a glance mathematically inaccurate (I'm well aware of the fact that a footnote could added explaining). But I feel this table has more downsides then benefits.

No problem, I'm not bothered either way to be honest. Have fun!--♦Tangerines♦·Talk 12:35, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 14:45, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there TANGERINES, VASCO here,

sorry for any incovenience due to my edit on this guy's page. I did not notice i reverted good English and turned it into "bad", my sincere apologies, already reinstated your additions per what you mention in my page. However, just one small request: no need to be referring all the time to SEGUNDA DIVISION (the link/word already appears once in storyline, when mentioning his collapsed move), writing "second level" or "second division" or "another team in the category/level" suffices please.

Attentivelly, keep up the good work, from Portugal - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 23:39, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there TANGERINES, AL from Portugal here,

regarding your summary in this player while you reverted me, i don't know if it's a misunderstanding or not...You say he played for first team (only once), but to what [first] team are you referring? Rayo Vallecano or Atlético Madrid? If it's the former, i follow Spanish football thoroughly, and i don't remember it (plus, if i did not remember but he did feature in official games for Rayo's A-side, it would appear in his BDFUTBOL.com profile, it does not). What was it exactly you meant, give me a piece of your "wiki-mind".

Hence, i removed the RAYO VALLECANO FOOTBALLERS category, not the ATLETICO MADRID FOOTBALLERS one, that one is 100% correct. I don't think players who only appear for reserves one year should get the cat, if something we should create the RAYO VALLECANO B FOOTBALLERS cat.

If you do choose to revert me again, fair enough, i'll respect your approach, but please at least: 1 - reply to this message; 2 - don't just click undo, because it will also revert my other changes regarding his new club which were good. Insert the category only or tell me to, i'll oblige.

Attentively, happy weekend --AL (talk) 23:47, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hope your break was a fruitful one, welcome back! Now, can i be offered a few words in feedback on the subject please? --AL (talk) 02:31, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, i guess i won't be having your two cents about this situation (see above). I'll now cease bothering you. Also, profit from the opportunity to say i'll leave WP for good at the end of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, it will have been a good eight-year run.

Have a good life, regards from Portugal --Mattythewhite (talk) 19:04, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to the African Destubathon[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
