Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Turkish Airlines into Turkish Airlines Fleet. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 18:02, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Turkish football leagues[edit]

Hello Styyx, I hereby salute you for your efforts at Wikipedia. When you are available, please see the rationale of my vote Ravil Tagir. There's a grey zone when it comes to Turkish leagues governed by TFF, and I underlined it. I'd appreciate, if you'd like to contribute for this matter. Thank you and regards. September 2020[edit]

Stop icon

When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ili River Treaty, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube or Sci-Hub, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Sandstein 08:26, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Sırpsındığı[edit]

Thank you for your contribution.

Could you find some Turkish references for Prelude, Battle and Aftermath? This battle is unknown in European historiography. I don't mind presenting all three parts from Turkish sources, as long we made clear it is based exclusively on Turkish sources.--N Jordan (talk) 03:16, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@N Jordan: This book on page 58 says that there were two wars in 1363 and 1371 according to Herbert Adams Gibbons. I found this English part. Page 80 and 81 of this book says that "it's one of the first times that Christians have worked together to fight against the Ottomans" and "after winning the Ottomans built mosques and other things", don't know if this is useful for you. Page 20 and 21 of this book says that according to Gibbons this war happened in Spring 1363 and that Louis I of Hungary narrowly escaped death. Because of this as a thankfulness he expanded the Mariazell Basilica. Interestingly this is not mentioned in our own Wikipedia article of the church, but rather is in the article of the city. Also in the book is that according to Joseph von Hammer-Purgstall this was the first time Ottomans and Hungarians battled. I haven't been able to find anything on the aftermath and amount of casualties. Also the date if the war seems to be not entirely known (1363/1364). I hope atleast one of them is useful for you. ~Styyx Talk? ^-^ 09:19, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Styyx:Thank you. I couldn't find anything about this battle that was not based purely on Ottoman sources. The timeline doesn't match. In Spring 1363, king Louis I was with his army in Bosnia, fighting against Bosnian ban Tvrtko and Bosnian heretics. That was the war sanctioned by the pope and well documented in European archives. During 1364 (that is the year in the article and some other books, based on Ottoman sources), Louis' itinerary was also very busy, he was in Brno with Emperor Charles and Rudolf IV of Austria, in February 1364. I would like to edit contested parts of article to match Ottoman sources but indicate that text is based on Ottoman sources. Also, to add references to the sources you provided. What do you think about that?N Jordan (talk) 17:33, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@N Jordan: I mean clearly there are only Ottoman sources, so its quite normal to add that, I don't think it will be a problem. ~Styyx Talk? ^-^ 18:06, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
