Need guidance for editing extended protection page

Hi @SpacemanSpiff

1.Can you clarify on how to use ancient tamil literature as a source to edit a wikipedia article.

2.The Vanniyar caste main artice filled with selective text from few authors in way not reflecting original authors view.

Looks like many editors in the past used only selective sentences from books in order to give lower status to particular community.

Kindly advise what kind of academic sources van be used to edit an article like caste in wikipedia.
