Sock stuff

Hi Spiff, re: this guy, do you perchance remember why you flagged him as a sock of Jaswanthvijay? I'm trying to figure out who Vimal2300 is a sock of. Based on name similarity to Vimalraj Selvakumar it looks like they're very likely the same person, but the interaction analysis seems kinda meh for trying to link him to a master. I had suspected Li wei ran to Jaswanthvijay and this account was CU and self confirmed to Li wei ran (see some of the deleted contribs of the former to compare with the farm), also I think AntanO had blocked the Li wei one on ta.wiki where contribs matched the Jaswantvijay account. THere's a huge overlap with the Raj TV Tamil dubbings of Colors TV series. I don't remember who the CU involved was but I'm guessing it's Ponyo. If it's anything related to RajTV Tamil then this is a likely candidate, AntanO might be able to help with ta.wiki comparisons—SpacemanSpiff 02:54, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

Vimal2300 seems sock and vandalized user page of Li wei ran at ta.wiki. But I did not request CU since the previous block was about 8 month old and result might be "Stale" --Antan O 03:14, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

It seems that a few do "paid" edit for TV channels (including Color TV, Raj TV, etc). I think a policy should implement to prevent such activities since the socks know the CU analysis methods. So, we can't do anything from CU result. --Antan O 03:22, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

Problematic usernames

I have long held the view that if someone contributing to the India topic area has history or truth in their username then they're not going to last long. And so it has generally turned out. @MBlaze Lightning: I don't know what the threshold for LTA or whether this one meets it, but at one point, I had a suspicion that one of the accounts (Casktopic) in this belonged to either Js82 or Peeta Singh (both prolific sockmasters) but I don't think either of them is in Chandigarh where these IPs geolocate to. Feel like I have never slept! Thanks for the action. One of the three articles created by Radavking has now been draftified by Boleyn. The two others need either the same treatment or deletion (it *is* a caste POV thing) but I've never moved a live article into draft space and will probably mess it up. - Sitush (talk) 08:19, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

You'll probably mess it up? I'm a stranger to draft space myself, but I'll see. I note the "article" draftified by Boleyn was ~~a blank page~~ only the name repeated. Well, I've moved them to draft (so now I know how to do that). It seemed simpler, as they weren't quite ready for speedy. I'm damned if I'll inflict AfD's on the community for this, and theoretically the user may successfully appeal the topic ban. Bishonen | talk 08:33, 14 June 2018 (UTC).

Coda: not sure whether this is a bureaucratically correct community discretionary sanction block or not, but I get tired of fiddling around with stepped blocks for cases like this. Rohitachwiki needs a WP:CIR block in any case; it doesn't have to be logged as a community sanction, if anybody objects. I'll go berserk in your kitchen next, Sitush, I'm just in the mood for it.
