Protection for the Vyasatirtha article

Hello! I don't know if this is the right channel but I'm getting a lot of vandalism on the Vyasatirtha article. Tired of reverting it over and over. Any solutions to avoid it? Can you make the article protected? Prabhanjan Mutalik (talk) 14:21, 4 July 2018 (UTC)

@Prabhanjanmutalik: Semi-protected for 1 month. Hopefully the IP editor will now take the issue to the talkpage. Abecedare (talk) 14:54, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
@Abecedare: Thanks a lot! Prabhanjan Mutalik (talk) 08:46, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

Block evasion

Hello SpacemanSpiff,

While looking through abuse filter logs, I saw some suspicious editing by Dilipjadeja, so I ran some CU checks. A user that you blocked, Anti4ITCELL also turned up, and since this new account is editing some of the same articles, I think that they're the same person. Since you're familiar with the situation, though, I'd like to get your opinion. Vicoturmeric and SitushTheBrahminbazturd are also exact matches with the previous two. I also noticed a bit of logged out editing in the same topics, but I'm not at liberty to mention the IP addresses. Thanks —DoRD (talk) 13:59, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

Oh, now I see that you're away from the project for a while. RegentsPark, I see that you've also dealt with this user. Would you care to take a look? Thanks —DoRD (talk) 14:03, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
I've duck blocked Dilipjadeja. Will take a look at Vicuturmeric later today. --regentspark (comment) 14:39, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. I decided to look a little closer and found that the following accounts are  Technically indistinguishable. I don't see a connection to any older accounts, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is one. —DoRD (talk) 15:05, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Given the CU evidence + the common Yadav interest, I'll block the remaining two unblocked accounts from the above list. Abecedare (talk) 06:33, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
@RegentsPark and Abecedare: Thank you for the assistance. Due to behavioral similarities and CU data/logs, I've filed a case at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Kiranmayi pal. —DoRD (talk) 12:56, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
@Abecedare: Anti4ITCELL (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki) was tagged as indef block but the current block is 6 months. -★- PlyrStar93 Message me. 16:50, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Deepcruze

Can you take a look at the conduct of Deepcruze?

This is a case of long term POV pushing. Deepcruze is aware of AC/DS.[1] He has dedicated himself towards pushing Dalit or BSP POV. Just today he made this edit, after already making enough attempts to censor that particular sentence.[2][3] Typically he knows how to game WP:3RR by edit warring and then avoiding that content for sometime, then get back to edit warring. Another evidence is probably this edit, which was reverted by someone else[4] but he restored the edit without explaining in edit summary why he is restoring or using the talk page.[5]

This has been going on for a very long time. The lack of communication by the user[6][7] is another part of this problem. Capitals00 (talk) 17:15, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

It seems that you are inactive for over 1 month. @NeilN: can you take a look at the conduct of Deepcruze instead? Capitals00 (talk) 14:51, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

A user Satish weicao is continously doing disruptive editing in order to vandalise the article. They have been warned multiple times on their talk page but they are not discussing. Could you please help. Thanks. — Jakichandan (talk) 00:59, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) I have warned the user for edit-warring. Lets see if they stop and discuss their reasoning for these edits. Abecedare (talk) 01:23, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

@Abecedare: They are back again as 2405:204:C20C:C70C:0:0:18FD:18B0 (talk · contribs · WHOIS). Could you please take a look. Thanks. — Jakichandan (talk) 06:22, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

@Jakichandan: Obviously them. Instead of chasing individual IPs though, I have semi-protected the page for 3 months. Hope that helps. Abecedare (talk) 06:26, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
@Abecedare: Thank you. —Jakichandan (talk) 06:29, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
@Abecedare: Now they are disrupting other related article with a new IP 2405:205:A046:1B66:0:0:903:A0AC (talk · contribs · WHOIS) with similar edits (change related to caste of the dynasties). Could you please take a look. Thanks. —Jakichandan (talk) 17:32, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
@Jakichandan: If it's just sporadic small-scale edits by individual IPs, would be best to deal with it by simple reverts (or discussion, if the edits could be ok). Can block/protect if the the problem grows. I've watchlisted the article and will try to keep an eye; ping me if I miss something or if the disruption moves elsewhere.
PS: Spaceman, we are going to continue to hold this conversation here till you get frustrated enough to end your hiatus and take over these tasks. :) Abecedare (talk) 19:37, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

@Abecedare: Okay. By the way, I have tried to discuss. It will be better if they reply to the warnings posted on their talk page. Let's see what happens. Thanks. —Jakichandan (talk) 01:42, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

@Abecedare: These type of edits are speciality of Burbak sockfarm. Please see this edit or this edit for example. Thanks.—Jakichandan (talk) 01:49, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for that info. Abecedare (talk) 13:44, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
