Request for Undeletion: Swiggy
Hello - I believe as an Admin you had deleted a previous article on Swiggy in 2016. I understand the comments from the community at that point of time - the company may not have been notable then. But things are different now: it is certainly notable now.
Swiggy is now India's largest food delivery company, and the fastest Indian unicorn. There is plenty of regular coverage on Swiggy in reliable secondary sources to establish its notability by WP standards.
Can you please undelete the article so that editors can work to improve it? I would also be happy to help to improve the article, if I have sufficient time: I have been thinking of creating a new article for Swiggy for quite some time, only now realized that an article on it was deleted earlier.
If you are still skeptical on Swiggy's notability, a simple Google search would be sufficient to convince you that I am right.
On WP:REFUND, it was suggested that the Administrator who deleted the original page should be contacted for any requests to restore articles: that's the reason for contacting you here. If there is something else to be done for this (e.g. WP:DELREV), please let me know.

- (talk page stalker) @Aurorion: Undoing the closure of an AfD isn't really a possibility, as that would require spiff to unilaterally overturn community consensus. Two viable options do exist; you could recreate the article from scratch, or you could ask for the previous page to be restored to your userspace, with the understanding that you will not move it to mainspace without making significant improvements. - @Aurorion: What Vanamonde93 said. WP:REFUND does not apply and SpacemanSpiff very properly closed the AFD so WP:DELREV is pointless. I am willing to restore article in user or draft space. Improvements need to be made and promotional fluff removed. --NeilN talk to me 14:50, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Vanamonde93: @NeilN: Thank you both for your comments. I agree with the decision making on deleting the article 2 years ago - however, as I mentioned above, a lot has changed since then. I was planning to create an article from scratch when I found out that an old version was deleted previously, and that Swiggy is now protected from creation. As you suggested, I can work to improve the earlier version of the article if you would be so kind as to restore the article in user or draft space. (I am not quite so sure what this user/draft space means, but I think I can figure it out. I will request for help if I face any problems.) Aurorion (talk) 12:28, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Aurorion: I've moved the page to User:Aurorion/Swiggy, where you may work on it at your leisure. As it is a subpage of your userpage (and therefore in "userspace") it isn't indexed by google and won't automatically be displayed if someone searches for "swiggy". The article can be moved back to mainspace after you have brought it up to scratch. Also, just FYI, there are two deleted versions of the article. The more recent one seemed better, so that's what I've given you; the one deleted at AfD is available in the page history. Regards, Vanamonde (talk) 12:58, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
