Hello[edit]

I'd be happy to collaborate. Just let me know what would be best to collaborate upon. --Xaliqen 29 June 2005 03:47 (UTC) Sorry about my error earlier. I was obviously not paying attention.  :) --Xaliqen 29 June 2005 09:39 (UTC)

i think discussion on how to make the articles better at this point should be on their talk pages. but yeah, they still need lots of work, including distinguishing between the historial and mythical attributes of li jing. seeing as your chinese is better than mine, feel free to tackle it while i'm away. :) Nateji77 30 June 2005 15:55 (UTC)

  • i've got waley's monkey translation, never read it, it's in the states, i'm not. i'd say, treat the historial li jing first, come back to the myth'l later. Nateji77 30 June 2005 16:01 (UTC)

Reopened ArbCom case[edit]

Andreas Klöden[edit]

When editing the 2005 Tour de France page, please use "Andreas Klöden" (whcih links to his article) and not "Andréas Klöden" --Commander Keane 9 July 2005 15:33 (UTC)

I'm really not too sure about the correct spelling, I just wanted to make sure that his name links to his article, so a duplicate article isn't made at "Andréas Klöden". If his name is more correct with the accent, perhpas we should get an admin to move the article? --Commander Keane 11:38, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It's not exactly bulletproof, but I've asked a German guy and he says it's "Andreas Klöden", without the accent over the e. --Commander Keane 11:52, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your answer to the decipher question is very near the correct answer! The intepretation of the letter pattern is correct, but the way you convert the number into letters again needs some revolution (180 degrees to be concise ^_^)... Keep trying! Hope you're getting the 32 ultimate marks! Deryck C. 12:47, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

N degrees of separation[edit]

Agreed, go ahead and enact the change. This is a wiki ya know ;)... Jaberwocky6669 06:46, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, I'm glad you and many others have taken an interest in N Degrees! When you have a second head on over to its talk page and go down to the heading that says: Template:N Degrees! You may be able to help out. Jaberwocky6669 00:43, 3 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Once again I agree. It seems that noone ever reads the introduction anyways they just jump straight into the game! Jaberwocky6669 14:09, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Need help for my multilanguage project www.cucumis.org[edit]

Hi, I need help for my translation help project. It's a community of translators that help each others. The translations value is evaluated trough a system of points that allows to avoid abuse of the system. The user interface has been translated in many languages with this system, but it's very hard for korean, chinese, vietnamese and north of europe languages. It's a young project and I hope you will like it! Thanks for your help! JP

Hello. Round four of Wikipedia Mind Benders will open on Thursday, December 1. This round will be drastically different from round three; part one will consist of a creative project, and part two will be developed from there. The full details will be released when the round opens. Time and speed should not be major factors in this round; thus, there is no exact opening time for the round as speed will not factor into the scoring. Thanks! P.S. Please add Wikipedia:Mind Benders/to do to your watchlist to receive further announcements; the NotificationBot is currently down and all notifications will be placed on that page. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Arbitration case Instantnood 2 closed[edit]

The Arbitration case on which you commented, Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Instantnood 2, has closed. The Committee's decision is as follows:

Instantnood, Huaiwei, and SchmuckyTheCat are all placed on Probation for topics relating to China for a year. This means that any sysop, in the exercise of their judgement for reasonable cause, documented in a section of this decision, may ban them from any article which relates to China which they disrupt by inappropriate editing. In doing so, the sysop must notify the banned user on their talk page, and a note must also placed on WP:AN/I. They may post suggestions on the talk page of any article from which they are banned from editing. This remedy is crafted to permit them to continue to edit articles in these areas which are not sources of controversy. In addition to this, Instantnood is restricted to proposing only one page move, poll of editors, or policy change relating to Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Chinese) per week, and reminded to make useful edit summaries.

Yours,

Image Tagging Image:6f1a.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:6f1a.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. -- Carnildo 10:10, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:User-Penwhale\6f1a.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use.
