Why did you revert my changes to Billy Bishop Airport

Please see my new entry on the talk page there. Airport wiki pages should only list immediate destinations served by that airport, not layovers and connections. Consult Porter's route map to confirm. 99.231.235.132 (talk) 18:35, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

GA mentorship

Greetings. I thought I would review a Good Article nominee to help with the backlog. I picked Toyohara Chikanobu, and saw on the talk page that there is currently a peer review for this article. (I believe peer review is the appropriate place for this article, since it has many systemic problems that would need to be fixed for it gets GA status.) Because of this, I failed the nomination here with a note to that effect, even though Wikipedia:Reviewing good articles does not list having an open peer review as a reason to quickly fail a GA nomination. Was this an appropriate course of action? How would you have dealt with this? Thanks, – Quadell (talk) 13:20, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Pokemon images

In Wikipedia:AN/EW#User:.CE.94_reported_by_User:Aaron_Brenneman_.28Result:_No_Vio.29 you asked about Pokemon images in the list articles. What exactly was your question? Why can't all 649 Pokemon have images, even on the list? Because frankly, they aren't all notable enough for split articles(although in the past year, loads of them have been split), and you can't have but so many non-free images in an article. While there used to be 20 in a list, there are now 50. You definitely can not have 50 non-free images in one article. That is overkill. Deciding on which select Pokemon would have images would get messy. Does that answer your question? Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:08, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Actually, 128 Pokemon have articles(some merged, so its 93 articles), so that's about 20% of Pokemon that have articles. Most of which have pictures(the rest I have been too lazy to upload) :) Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:37, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Because the articles are split, they each can have at least one image. Putting anime screenshots or TCG scans would be pushing it though. Currently the only time I put a second image on an article is in cases like Giratina or Entei when they were the sole focus of a movie. I doubt anybody would object to that. Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:48, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

I was not vandalizing, I was fixing.

On the page runescape they forgot to put a holiday event "Hanukkah" inwhich every year JaGeX has an in-game event for, just like all of the other holidays. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Flypaper333 (talkcontribs) 04:10, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

Of course you were. --Σ talkcontribs 04:24, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
I play the game. Jagex has had no Hanukkah events in its history. --Σ talkcontribs 04:26, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

China Cargo Airlines

Hi OhanaUnited,

I noticed your edit on the fleet section of China Cargo Airlines. Referring to your reference, the planes that you added to the fleet i.e. MD-11F, B757s, A300s... those are not part of the China Cargo Airlines fleet. If you look closer, you will see that those planes belong to other airlines in China e.g. Shanghai Airlines, Great Wall Airlines, Eva Air...

Thus, I have reverted the fleet information of China Cargo Airlines to the original information.

No hard feelings. Feel free to rebut.

Wikimedia Canada

Hello OhanaUnited, how are you doing ? How is WMCA going ? It seems to me that the project is somewhat disconnected with the mother project here, especially that WMCA has launched its own website. Cheers. Ktsquare (talk) 02:34, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Re: Ganeshbot 10

Hi OhanaUnited, Thanks for your note on my talk page. I do not have time for Wikispecies projects at this time. I will get in touch with you in the future. Ganeshk (talk) 03:24, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Just a big thank you to you, Ohana, for letting Ganesh know about my AWB work. I am now using Ganesh's loader plugin at WS, and it is a big help in streamlining the process. Koumz (talk) 00:30, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Am I right in thinking that you've promoted that portal to featured status even though nobody apart from the co-noms voiced their support for doing so? Can you name any other featured content process where that would be the result? Surely the nomination should either have been kept open (with a request for the nominator to hunt for additional people to comment) or it should have been archived. I don't think I've seen Cirt promote with no supports – in fact, he would sometimes comment that there were only two or three supports (London Transport, 2, Somerset, 3, and Hudson Valley, 3 for example) and so he would wait for longer before promoting. Inconsistency between directors is a bad idea. Promoting with no supports risks bringing the whole idea of a featured portal into disrepute. Yours, BencherliteTalk 04:30, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Fetchcomms commented but did not support - I cannot find any indication in his user talk archives that he was asked by the nominators, Cirt or you to clarify whether he was supporting, neutral or still had issues with it. He did not address the featured portal criteria and say why he thought those standards were met or not, just talked in terms more appropriate for a portal peer review than a discussion on whether this was one of Wikipedia's finest portals.
I do not have to comment on every nomination, so don't single me out for the low activity rate - in fact, I've probably been more active than you at FPoC/FPoR/PoPR over the last year or more - Cirt had to promote one of his own nominations a while ago because you were inactive at FPo. The FPo process does not address outsiders' concerns about low participation / activity rates by abandoning the requirement that there be a consensus in favour of promotion, however long a nomination has been there. Two co-noms and someone else saying "Everything else seems fine" is not a consensus in favour of promotion.
No-one can condemn you for archiving a nomination with no supports and suggesting that people try again in due course - in fact, this routinely happens at other featured content processes. Please remember that I think portals and featured portals are valuable components of Wikipedia; my fear is that events like this mean that the FPo process stops being taken seriously by other. Regards, BencherliteTalk 14:15, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Well, you and I simply aren't going to agree on whether the solution to lower participation is for one of the FPo Directors to set by himself, without community discussion, a new minimum threshold for promotion of one person providing a non-explicit support. I'm afraid I have no confidence in the FPo process with you in charge. BencherliteTalk 15:11, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

FP Review

Hi, as you may recall I have a portal nominated at Wikipedia:Featured portal candidates. It would seem that there is a greater lack of interest in portals, or reviewing them, than I imagined, as I have have had to press for reviewers 3 times on MilHist to get these responses, whilst no one on the French wikiproject has shown a blind bit of interest in the last month at all. Somewhat disappointing given that it only takes 5 minutes, considering the simple nature of the FP criteria, compared with the time it takes to actually set up a new portal in the first place. Nevertheless, there have been a few responses so I'm wondering if there is enough support for it to qualify for FP, and whether you would please close it, if it is, to save me having to wait any further? Thanks, Ma®©usBritish [Chat • RFF] 17:17, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Do you plan on closing this review anytime soon? Ma®©usBritish [Chat • RFF] 21:45, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Improving portal visibility on Wikipedia

  • I agree with the idea of improving portal listings on the Wikipedia's main page, as you stated in a discussion on the portal discussion page. Simple improvement such as this would increase user awareness of the existence of portals, which would very likely increase user contributions to them. I've started a new discussion with a specific focus upon increasing portal visibility on the portal discussion page here: Wikipedia talk: Portal - Ideas to increase portal visibility. —Northamerica1000(talk) 06:19, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

Could I ask the reason of your recent deletion of link in Tonlesap Airlines' Wiki Page?

Dear OhanaUnited,

How are you? I'm leaving a message about your recent edit on Tonlesap Airlines' Wiki Page. Could I ask the reason for deleting Tonlesapairlines.com for reference? I'm a colleague of Tonlesap's and we would really like to add that link. Is there anything against the regulation for that section?

My email address is: dawei@tonlesapairlines.com

Thank you very much in advance!
