Ways to improve 100,000 People

Hello, Lk95,

Thank you for creating 100,000 People.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Insufficient notability about 100,000 people track. More reliable secondary references are needed to satisfy WP:NMUSIC.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Unnecessary reverts

Hey! I noticed that yesterday and today, you reverted some of my edits to various pages regarding chart positions. Now, single chart and album chart are kind of confusing (one uses M and the other uses a note parameter to add additional sources), and I thank you for correcting my edits with proper sourcing, but I noticed you reverted and then added the information back, all while having a proper source to begin with, which is kind of annoying. For one, it unnecessarily notifies me. It is also not necessary to revert and add the information back (two edits) when you could have just fixed the template without any extra hassle (one edit). From the order of your edits, it's clear that you knew the positions were true before you reverted me, so I just find it a little strange that you would complicate things. If you could please stop this method, even if it's just with my edits, that would be great. Notifications clutter both my notification inbox on-wiki and my email notifications (and I assume lots of other editors have these turned on), so making this change would be awesome. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I just thought I would point this out. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 17:50, 19 April 2021 (UTC) (please ping on reply)

@Doggy54321: Hey, firstly thanks for your kind message. I thought you had noticed it yesterday already but you added misleading templates again. I always revert editors so that they realize that, by the next time Billboard updates, their chart history pages don't automatically provide the information announced on their social media pages. If the source was set to update in a matter of minutes or a few hours I wouldn't revert it but the difference in time between the announcement of the Top 10 and the actual update usually takes very long so readers might be confused by the source added, or lack thereof. Sorry for spamming your notification systems but it's annoying to see editors (not only you, many others do/did so too in the past) only adding semi-effective sources when it comes to Billboard. Lk95 (talk) 18:10, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
You're welcome, and thank you for the kind reply back. That all makes sense, and I understand where you're coming from. If I need to notify someone on something they did incorrectly, I usually do it by leaving a message on their talk, so I didn't get your mindset before. Thank you for explaining not only the method you use but also why you use it, as it makes sense to me now. Sorry if I came off a bit harsh, reading it back now it sounds a little demanding. Thanks for the clarification! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:32, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:BTS - Butter.png

Thanks for uploading File:BTS - Butter.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Please stop adding Austrian peaks unless you have an external source

You do this every week. Please cease doing so until they show up on austriancharts.at or provide an external source to oe3.orf.at. I don't care about the UK peaks, because any user who's in the know knows they update like clockwork at 5:45 pm local time on the website, but sometimes austriancharts.at doesn't update for two days afterwards and by that point you've already gone around and added unsourced peaks to two dozen articles. I used to wait or provide an external source when I did the Austrian peaks, so I don't know why you don't. Enough is enough. Ss112 17:42, 28 September 2021 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Lathums, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your technical move request

Hello Lk95. I moved the page from your user space, including its talk page, according to your recent technical request. The article looks good, by the way, thank you for creating it. The reason I am messaging you is to ensure that you understand that I did create a redirect from your user space to the article because you did not ask for it not to be created, and we don't perform quasi deletions unless good cause exists. You are not required to maintain the redirects in your user space and there's no compelling reason why you should. To request their deletion, you can go to the user subpage where the draft was, blank the page, add {{db-u1}} and publish the page. An admin will delete the page soon after based on your request. Thanks again for creating the article. Best regards.--John Cline (talk) 16:39, 22 November 2021 (UTC)

Hello. First, thanks for taking care of the moving process and your feedback. I actually was not aware that there's a redirect form my user space to the articles (all the other subpages included). Anyway, thanks for making me aware of this, I don't think I have an issue with the subpage being a redirect but if it happens to bother me, I will go back to your message. Kind regards.
