Revert of Nine-ball; mgender discussion

Hello, earlier today you reverted my edit to Nine-ball which added the category Mixed-sex sports. You also added a detailed and thoughtful summary.

I thought the category warranted given the mgender field in the Infobox which displays as: "Mixed gender Yes."

That makes this discussion all the more compelling: Template_talk:Infobox_sport#Mixed_gender_criteria.

Qualifying round format

Hi. Its my understanding that if a tournament has a qualifying round prior to the main draw, the qualifying is always shown in a separate section below the main draw. With that in mind, i don’t understand why 2021 Northern Ireland Open was changed to a non-standard format. Qualifying round being displayed in the main draw doesn’t make sense, because its not consistent with any other article that has a pre-main draw qualifying round eg the 2019 International Championship or the 2019 China Championship. I’d like to posit that if this is the new format we are to use on the wiki as a whole, that all previous articles with qualifying rounds be updated to use the NI Open format, but i think thats more confusing to the reader and is entirely inconsistent with previous standards, not to mention it wouldn’t work with the world champions pages or anything pre-2010. I suspect it's just overzelousness. Generally I don't care too much for the draws, most of my work is tournament formats, summaries etc, and then taking the articles to GAN. I realise a lot of people do a lot of work to get the brackets in shape, it's just that it doesn't interest me all that much. However, we should do our best to shorten the brackets where we can. The 128 brackets are huge, and I get we can't just remove them for events with 128 participants, but we certainly shouldn't be wanting them to be that size. Heh yeah that makes sense to compartmentalise the work that you do, which I really do appreciate! (plus your insight for resolving disputes helps a ton in helping me to be a better editor).
