Spamming uni-mannheim.de

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. I don't think that a page like uni-mannheim.de needs a better search ranking. It already is on top. If it was an unknown blog, I would understand the critique. I wanted to add sources to the the informations, now that I know, that university sources are not necessarily considered sources, I always search for external sources. The page is already tagged for relying too much on the university website. At this point it is just spamming. Or hell, maybe we should just delete everything and put a link to uni-mannheim.de? That is literally all it is now. It is nothing like a Wikipedia article.

Did you notice that there is nothing negative on that page? Not a single negative thing. In all the decades that this university has been around, there has been no controversies or bad things as far as WP is concerned.

That is what happens when a WP page is hijacked by its subject and sourced almost entirely its to the subject's website, where the subject of course carefully controls its own image. The WP page becomes phony - a fraud - and is just advertising. Jytdog (talk) 22:04, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
