I read your comment about some of the page needing a rewrite. Which areas where you referring to? I plan on making some changes to the references and taking out some of the info that stays on the subject of his students for too long. Also, one editor suggested that I get rid of the Chinese format (Chinese: EXAMPLE). This formatting was originally done by a very active member of wikiproject China. As I expanded the page, I just continued the trend. I figure the person knew what they were doing. South Tibet issue
In fact,I can find numerous sources to support my edits,and some of the sections which were deleted by other two users can be found in the Arunachal Pradesh article.IMHO,they seemed not happy to see somethings appeared which favours the chinese claim of South Tibet.Furthermore,some sources are in chinese,and the two guys raise some silly questions to seal my mouth such as Zangnan is not South Tibet,and my english is poor so some sections which I had edited should be deleted.And for now,I had not much time to cope with these kind of persons,cause from the first creations of South Tibet,numbers of editors either wanted to delete it or want to merge it.I am a litte tired of fighting alone.--Ksyrie 21:08, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

I saw that you failed the article for good article status. I cleaned a lot of the article's pointless plot information and removed three out of six uneeded images. Is that... okay? You said on the talk page that it should have 1-2 at the most; I did read WP:IMAGE. Still, is three still one too many? About the character's popularity and design, I'm not even sure how well-known he is in the U.S. In Japan, I am sure his popularity is most heard of. When I have an image on Wikipedia that is already present on Commons, but perhaps under a different filename and uploaded by someone else, can I just put the tag {{subst:ncd|Image:Whatever.jpg}} on it? Do I need to copy the revision history of the Wikipedia file in some way, even if the image is not GFDL licensed? - If the file is in the public domain, history is not crucial but is still helpful. I found the following on Category:Images on Wikimedia Commons which you may find useful.
Please always include the complete image caption and author, uploader and upload date to en wiki ! This is particular true for images under a GFDL or CC-BY license. In the case of {{PD-ineligible}} and {{PD-USGov}} licenses, the uploader and upload history is not crucial.

RE: Followup questions
As far as I know, the images need to be exactly identical copies in order to be tagged with that template. So if they are different sizes and/or file types, they cannot be tagged in that way. - no problem. If the change was just capitalization, it would in fact be a recreation if the article was the same. But it's a little dubious about using G4 after a speedy because the speedy might or might not have been a good one & the article might or might not be different. --in fact this one was not a good one, because it was deleted as a hoax & hoaxes cannot be speedied- (unless they actually are total nonsense under A3) -the idea is that it might be a good idea if people have a chance to see--about 10% of the articles labeled as hoaxes turn out to be real, & that can be very embarrassing. But I checked the actual article & looked for some references. Eels do not live that way--it's Hagfish that do, and its commonly confused. So we might as well leave it deleted. I am leaving you this message because recent events have given me concern. When Aaron Brenneman and I, and others, first developed this category well over a year ago, we visualized it as a simple idea. A low hassle, low bureaucracy process. We also visualized it as a process that people would come to trust, in fact as a way of increasing trust in those admins who chose to subscribe to the notion of recall. The very informal approach to who is qualified to recall, what happens during it, and the process in general were all part of that approach. But recent events have suggested that this low structure approach may not be entirely effective. More than one of the recent recalls we have seen have been marred by controversy around what was going to happen, and when. Worse, they were marred by some folk having the perception, rightly or wrongly, that the admin being recalled was trying to change the rules, avoid the process, or in other ways somehow go back on their word. This is bad. It's bad for you the admin, bad for the trust in the process, and bad for the community as a whole. I think a way to address this issue is to increase the predictability of the process in advance. I have tried to do that for myself. In my User:Lar/Accountability page, I have given pretty concrete definitions of the criteria for recall, and of the choices I can make, and of the process for the petition, and of the process for other choices I might make (the modified RfC or the RfAr). I think it would be very helpful if other admins who have voluntarily made themselves subject to recall went to similar detail. It is not necessary to adopt the exact same conditions, steps, criteria, etc. It's just helpful to have SOME. Those are mine, fashion yours as you see fit, I would not be so presumptuous as to say mine are right for you. In fact I urge you not to just adopt mine, as I do change them from time to time without notice, but instead develop your own. You are very welcome to start with mine if you so wish, though. But do something. If you have not already, I urge you to make your process more concrete, now, while there is no pressure and you can think clearly about what you want. Do it now rather than later, during a recall when folk may not react well to perceived changes in process or commitment. Further, I suggest that after you document your process, that you give a reference to it for the benefit of other admins who may want to see what others have done. List it in this table as a resource for the benefit of all. Do you have to do these things? Not at all. These are suggestions from me, and me alone, and are entirely up to you to embrace or ignore. I just think that doing this now, thinking now, documenting now, will save you trouble later, if you should for whatever reason happen to be recalled. I apologise if this message seems impersonal, but with over 130 members in the category, leaving a personal message for each of you might not have been feasible, and I feel this is important enough to violate social norms a bit. Unblock review of Kjoonlee
Hi. I believe you are in error on your declined unblock of Kjoonlee (talk · contribs). WP:3RR#Exceptions gives removal of vandalism and spam as a permitted exception. All of his reverts were to remove what is ostensibly an advertisement for a non-notable mod of a game, but I don't believe it even exists because "Zuma Special Edition" gets zero g-hits. If you take a look at Special:DeletedContributions/Helodriver, the images the other user was adding into the article were all flagrant photoshops. If you read the text the other user was adding [1], he talks in less than glowing terms about a character named "Daniels". It seems rather obvious that this so-called mod is just a prank that someone is playing on their friend, not a real mod that actually exists. So Kjoonlee's removal of this text is covered by the vandalism exception to 3RR. I was about to unblock the user and change the other user's block to an indef block of a vandalism-only account when I saw your reply. Since you have already declined it, I will defer to you, but I strongly suggest that an unblock is in order. --B (talk) 07:40, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Lisu people
Would you be interested in looking at this article about the Lisu people of Yunnan? There is some disagreement as to whether to include information about the impact of Christianity among this group. Their alphabet (Fraser alphabet) was created by a notable missionary, James O. Fraser), however this has been repeatedly removed. Just a request: Could you refrain from deleting spaces before stub tags, as you did to Chinese Martyrs? The rules say:
- Avoid making insignificant or inconsequential edits such as only adding or removing some white space, moving a stub tag, converting some HTML to Unicode, removing underscores from links (unless they are bad links), or something equally trivial. This is because it wastes resources and clogs up watch lists.
And the guideline recommends:
- It is usually desirable to leave two blank lines between the first stub template and whatever precedes it.

I disagree with your decision to decline deleting this article, so i've put it up for prod instead. Although this person may be notable in Iran, should it be on the English wikipedia? In my country there are writers and journalists that are notable but are not on this wiki, because in the English realm they are not notable. Plus the article is in poor shape, and it looks like it was written by the subject itself. Living persons bios need more than just local notability. The reference given is an interview with several people, among which Pourmohsen gets a couple of sentences, not everyone featured in an interview should be in an encyclopedia. Also look at his written work, 3 translations and 2 poem collections, is that notable enough for WP? I understand why you declined it, but i can't agree (this time.) - Since you replied at my page i will reply here (its on my watchlist anyway): I know the English bias should go away, but even then notability is questionable. Also, there's a Farsi wikipedia, judging from your screen name you might be Iranian, is there a Pourmohsen article on the fa.wikipedia.org? If not, it seems odd there's one in english, right? If there is a farsi version, perhaps you could add it to the page to make it that little more noteworthy. I mean, if the Iranians haven't got an entry on him, why should the english? I hope you get my point, i don't dislike the poet himself, i just think there's a line for encyclopic articles and this one doesn't cross it (yet). From Wikipedia:Bio#Any_biography: "Creative professionals: Scientists, academics, economists, professors, authors, editors, journalists, filmmakers, photographers, artists, architects, engineers, and other creative professionals:
- The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by their peers or successors.
- The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory or technique.
- The person has created, or played a major role in co-creating, a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work, which has been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film, or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews.
- The person's work either (a) has become a significant monument, (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention, or (d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums, or had works in many significant libraries. I don not think mr. Pourmohsen fits in any of these criteria. Let me know what you think, i'm still learning to handle the criteria. - I may have some concern about your newly edited Liu Xiaojiang. The terms large military region or small military region may not be very accurate. It's true that the other two are from provincial military regions. They're elected probably because Xinjiang and Tibet are critical areas. But Liu Xiaojiang is from Navy. First, Navy is not a small military region. It's nationwide. Second, the rank of Navy is at least equivalent to those seven major military regions. Actually, Navy may be somehow higher than large military region because the commander of Navy usually is a member of central military commission, while the head of military region is not. But the positions are interconnected. For example, the commander of East Sea Fleet of Navy is usually the vice commander of Nanjing Military Region. Thus, the commander of Navy is roughly equivalent to the commander of military regions.
- According to original Chinese sources, those two terms should just mean position(ranking) of large military region and vice position(ranking) of large military region. So you may want to find more appropriate terms to describe them. Regards. Ramtears (talk) 18:02, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your concern on Nanyue. Here are just a few modern and widely used english encyclopeadias that refer to the correct romanization. They list Nam Viet first, then the giles and pinyin romanization after for specific academic reasons. This cannot be refuted.

However, beforehand, when antispoof was overriden automatically, the secondary account was necessary to see what (if any) accounts were similar.
