Request[edit]

Hi @Cedix:, I have seen your comments at few AfDs, I appreciate your works but, meanwhile request you to work on the better of these articles. Regards - Aaqib Anjum Aafī (talk) 21:26, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Same request from me, let's try to improve these articles. More specifically, please keep participating on the AfDs which is even more needed, in my view. Ngrewal1 (talk) 00:07, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Aaqib Anjum Aafī (talk) and Ngrewal1 (talk), thanks for the kind note. I will try to improve them if they survive the deletion discussion. Cedix (talk) 07:32, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much, it will be very much appreciated. My best regards and if you like you can also get in touch with me thru my e-mail in Wikipedia records. No pressure, ONLY if you are comfortable doing that. Otherwise I'll totally respect your privacy and wishes. Ngrewal1 (talk) 12:14, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ngrewal1, I am very grateful for the friendly gesture. I will certainly contact you on the talk page if ever I need help or collaboration on Wikipedia articles. Your signature on my talk page will come in handy. --Cedix (talk) 20:40, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion at AFD[edit]

I would like to bring your attention, for your inputs here 1, here 2 and here 3.– Akhiljaxxn (talk) 19:59, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Akhiljaxxn (talk). Thank you for inviting me to that discussion. I was able to judge the first one as I have read those criteria. The second and the third are tough for me to decide, since I am not sure how cinematographers are judged on Wikipedia. Do you know if they have special criteria ? I will try to dig more about them in the coming days. --Cedix (talk) 20:33, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to The Wikipedia Adventure![edit]

Hi Cedix! We're so happy you wanted to play to learn, as a friendly and fun way to get into our community and mission. I think these links might be helpful to you as you get started.

Account[edit]

Hi, Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. You seem to be well-versed with WP, could you please disclose if you have edited before with any other account. Thank you. - FitIndia Talk Commons 19:02, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wow Fitindia, I would take that as a complement. To answer the question, no I have not edited with account before. I am quarantined at home and have been reading some of the Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines to kill my boredom. I am not well versed in them since there are millions of policies but I know a bit of HTML, so that helps. The tutorial Wikipedia:The_Wikipedia_Adventure was also quite helpful. Be safe from COVID19. --Cedix (talk) 19:38, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. Thank you again for your contribution to WP. Every little bit helps. - FitIndia Talk Commons 19:47, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Fitindia, glad to help. Cedix (talk) 19:59, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Important Notice[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

— Newslinger talk 09:57, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Newslinger, I think I have been correctly following the policies, whatever I have read so far. If I have made any mistake then please accept my apology, it is likely that I am yet to read that policy. To help me understand the concern, and not repeat the problem, can you please let me know which edit that I made led to this "standard message"--Cedix (talk) 10:08, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Cedix, this message is just an informational notice and does not mean that you did anything wrong. Since the India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan topic area is contentious, please be extra careful with following the policies and guidelines. Some articles in this topic area might have limitations on editing; for these articles, you will see a banner with more information on the top of the edit screen. Many editors who contribute to this area receive this standard message about once a year as a reminder. Cheers. — Newslinger talk 10:12, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Newslinger, apologies for unintentionally missing the greeting as I was in a bit of a shock, when I saw the notice. The addendum above [1] was really helpful. So, this is an annual ritual and I am not in conflict of Wikipedia policies. What a relief. I appreciate the explanation about the banners. I will keep a look out for those banners and accordingly be careful while editing these topics that you listed. Wishing you good health. --Cedix (talk) 11:38, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Appeal for Page Deletion (XFD)[edit]

Thanks for deleting Nikhil Mahajan as its not meet criteria, I have found lot of Articles from Marathi Film Industry has been on WikipediA. Yes this people may have contributed but need to give adequate references. People taking it on emotions. Kindly see my Contributions for This Pages and Reopen XFD Closers and check if u feel its not worth.

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sandeep Sawant

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gajendra Ahire

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Satrangi Re

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hardeek Joshi

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abhidnya Bhave

As per my knowledge, WikipediA policy says; 1. Articles should have Adequate References. 2. References should be from Reliable sources. 3. We should follow Notability criteria of 'WikipediA Polices' Not a 'Public Notable' Person.

if we follow public popular person, then every day lot of clips or things get Viral and get noted in small Web Data Generator website, we should give them space on WikipediA then. Kindly rethink over this. Thanks. UserPankajM (talk)

UserPankajM You should talk to an administrator for this. Cedix (talk) 16:13, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
