Welcome![edit]

Awwwww, my first barnstar! Thanks, it means a lot to me. (eight-clap!) :) Elonka 02:24, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You certainly earned it! This is also the first one I have given. I just figured out how.  - C. dentata 02:27, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good luck with other Wikipedia efforts. BTW, if you want to check which page that a template is currently being used on, go to the template's page, and click on the "What links here" link in the lefthand menu. That'll give you an idea of which pages may need tweaking. Elonka 17:55, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

JWs[edit]

Haven't you seen how I structured this section? Beliefs are presented from the JW pov. Your style of writing is not in a fair or sympathetic tone to the JW's. That is a requirement. joshbuddytalk 17:53, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are violating Wikipedia rules and guidelines. As you know, all articles must be neutral. Although you claim not to be a member of this organization, all your edits without exception deliver the Jehovah's Witnesse minority point of view without proper evaluation. This is unacceptable. Wikipedia is not free advertizing space for unusual groups and belief systems.   - Cestus Cd 19:18, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Codex vaticanus colour.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Codex vaticanus colour.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 19:47, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I understand[edit]

If you wish to undue my edits, that is your perogative! My edits aren't always perfect, so I need all the help I can get! :)

However, removing an afd notice is contary to wikipedia policy. It is now up to an admin to do that, please review the deletion policy.

Sethie (talk) 09:27, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It would be appreciated if you would not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Liite Buddhism. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Kusma (talk) 09:43, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are mistaken. There was an edit conflict. Are you saying that you removed my comments? Castanea dentata (talk) 09:48, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You removed the AfD notice from Liite Buddhism. Please don't do that again, but comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Liite Buddhism. Thank you, Kusma (talk) 09:55, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, Sethie is not an Admin. Are you saying that you refuse to abide by Wikipedia policy against Three Reverts and mass deletions?!! Castanea dentata (talk) 10:07, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article was deleted as copyright violation per WP:CSD#G12, so this is now pretty moot. Kusma (talk) 10:15, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My appologies[edit]

I made a BIG whopping initial mistake- I mispelled Liite Buddhism when I did a google search and found no refferences for it. I honestly thought it was a hoax! :)

Since then, I looked at the article and found, from my perspective, some very serious problems. Perhaps I did not go about pointing out those "problems" or fixing them in the most conduicive to harmony way. I got hot-headed, impulsive and a little righteous.

The good news is that thanks to my Afd- others will look at the page- and voice their imput. It will break the stalemate between the two of us.

I am going to let some other people chime in about the page before making more edits.

peace, Sethie (talk) 10:10, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I see. Alright then. Yes I agree that the article needed polishing, but that is normal for new articles. I will help you work on it. Castanea dentata (talk) 10:17, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism warnings[edit]

When warning a user not to vandalize, please don't use {{vandalism}}, as you did to Sethie. That template is intended for marking pages created as vandalism, so that they can be deleted. Please use a template from the {{uw-vandalism}} family instead. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 10:18, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You went above and beyond[edit]

Article to be deleted[edit]

HELP. This article to be deleted in id.wiki. Can you help me to SAY KEEP in its Talk page, in Indonesia Wikipedia. I don't know why they don't appreciate Freedom of Religion, Speech, Press, and Assembly. Thanks for your support. Mikhailov Kusserow (talk) 09:20, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

redirected local churches to local churches (affiliation)[edit]

Hi Castanea,

I have reverted one of your edit as hardly anyone on wiki would type "Local churches (affiliation)" to be able to get to the article. I know there is a link in the disamb page but then the #redirected page, Local church is an article in itself just like Local churches (affiliation). Also, the new naming of the article Local churches was done as pr Wiki guidelines. Let me know what you thoughts are about it. Thanks, HopeChrist (talk) 16:55, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Chestnut.png or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. January 2016[edit]

Given your extensive history here at Wikipedia, there's no reason to imagine that you created this account as a sockpuppet; it's pretty clear that someone compromised your account and that of Wighson. If for some reason you want to come back, request an unblock and we can figure out what to do. Nyttend (talk) 03:10, 19 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
