Blocked user Kingcutie under new sockpuppet HDClear

It appears that user Kingcutie is once again vandalizing his brother's wikipedia page under sockpuppet HDClear, for which he was previously banned by you.

It's not entirely clear to me how to proceed with bringing attention to this.

Deleted Band Page Blazzaj

Hello, how come this page has been deleted (Blazzaj)? This is a known band form Romania with more than 25 years of experience, 3 albums and numerous concerts. They still actively perform. Thanks PET (talk) 20:46, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The article had no credible claim of significance (see WP:A7).--Bbb23 (talk) 22:43, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You are completely right, I should not have told the IP to add a source on a disambiguation page. That seems to be my go-to move when I find unverified content in articles, but you are correct that those types of pages are exceptions regarding WP:V. Sorry about that, and thank you for taking action here. JeffSpaceman (talk) 20:58, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, I understand.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:44, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

We were both involved when a now blocked editor tried multiple times to "attack" this article. I've allowed the dust to settle on that, and taken a view on the article, sending it for discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wrightspeed X1 just now. I'm alerting you because you may have a view on the article and its fate. Whatever that view is will be welcome. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 13:46, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I saw this cleanup. Given the existence of List of Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance candidates for the 2024 Indian general election, is the draft acting as a sock catcher? If not, happy to redirect it there? A sock had done so, and I reverted, but beginning to think they were right. Star Mississippi 02:59, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think you should do whatever you think best. I don't have any strong feelings one way or the other.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:22, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I redirected it. That way it doesn't waste legit editor time. We can sort out socks later if needed. TY Star Mississippi 01:29, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I saw you deleted it under G1. However, it was really an encrypted message, not gibberish. It can be cracked quite easily. Maybe it should have been left as a stale draft and deleted in 6 months. 14 novembre (talk) 🇮🇹 16:08, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What does say after it is "cracked"?--Bbb23 (talk) 16:10, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is an opinion on the functioning of Wikipedia. 14 novembre (talk) 🇮🇹 16:18, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Um, doesn't it translate into actual words? In any event, the IP who created it is a vandal, and the draft is vandalism, even if it's not a G1.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:22, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23 Yes, I remember it could translate in real words. Anyway yes, I agree it has nothing to do with Wikipedia, I was just thinking that it didn't actually comply with that criterion. 14 novembre (talk) 🇮🇹 16:25, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean that you're going by your memory so cannot now see the encrypted text? I don't know how to decrypt, but the text was included by the IP at the bottom of this page. Can you decrypt it? I'm just curious. Also, if you know of a website that will decrypt it, please let me know. I looked at several, but they were all too complicated and didn't work for me.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:34, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are apparently no websites which can successfully do it. Anyway the message says that "many blocks of different duration are wrong, and this is implictly accepted by the Wikipedia community due to the fact that unregistered contribution are welcome, implicitly accepting and encouraging block evasion". I personally don't agree with the IP, but anyway I think I've answered your question. 14 novembre (talk) 🇮🇹 16:43, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

SPI thanks and request

Hello, friend. Thanks for your help at WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Ahmaddarwish74 re WP:Articles for deletion/Abdulla Bin Mohamed Bin Butti Al Hamed. If you have a moment, could I ask your thoughts about WP:Sockpuppet investigations/A. Roderick-Grove? It's totally unrelated and not at AfD, but the editor cabal looks similar to me. Thanks again! JFHJr () 20:55, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

the editor cabal looks similar to me. Could you explain how?--Bbb23 (talk) 21:43, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Similar in there's an organization in the subject's background that continues to promote the subject after departing the organization, here the The American School in Switzerland (in the other article it began with the Abu Dhabi water authority per the COI statement on the main sock's userpage), and relatively closed set of editors promoting or trying to manufacture consensus on the related subject(s). There's more than one article of concern for the pending COIN discussion. But it looks like sock puppets for alumni to me. JFHJr () 00:07, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

SPI of Ria Cruz

Hello. I noticed you blocked several sockpuppets of User:Ria Cruz and I believe they may have another sockpuppet. I opened a new investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ria Cruz and wanted to know your thoughts on the matter. Thank you. Telenovelafan215 (talk) 06:27, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Sorry I'm a bit late, but yesterday was an awful day. Thanks for bringing the sock to my attention.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:18, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yavarai/Michaellko

Just wondering about this one. I requested an admin RM of Vijay Pal (politician) to salted Vijay Pal yesterday, wrongly thinking that it had previously been about a film director. No, another admin said the last one was about a politician, but moved it anyway. You previously deleted that in 2018, " Mass deletion of pages added by कलमकार per G5".

The same new account Meetupinfo (autocreated 25 April) has in a batch of politician article creations yesterday recreated Anil Parashar (same mass G5 by you as Vijay Pal) at Anil Parashar (politician), and Vipul Dubey at Vipul Dubey (politician): that one was G5'd by User:Explicit as a sock of User:Syed amjad08. Topic focus of Meetupinfo is the same as both masters: Indian politics, and Yavarai was especially focused on Uttar Pradesh.

Prior to ENwiki autocreation, they were unusually busy with precocious edits at Wikidata (primary account, created 24 April), with 657 manual edits there so far. I started looking at their oldest edits, which were all for articles that were AFD'd then recreated, or other iffy creation history, and gave up when my head began to ache.

Logs will obviously be stale for User:Michaellko, but not for User:Syed amjad08 (last SPI March 2024). Do you think this is worth an SPI? And if so, then for which master? Thanks for any advice. Wikishovel (talk) 10:14, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I made it easier for you, deciding that they are more like Michaellko than Syed amjad08, although Meetupinfo's English appears to be more limited. Pretty obvious sock, though, so if I've gotten the wrong master, I'm not all that fussed about it.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:35, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! And thanks to User:robertsky for nudging me in the right direction on this. Wikishovel (talk) 13:49, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
