A tag has been placed on File:Sebastian roché.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The source is me Sebastian Roché, actually correcting the errors in my own biography about ME. If that’s not a good source I don’t know what is Avoman (talk) 07:34, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And please stop saying I’m a French actor I am Scottish and French, therefore Scottish French. I haven’t lived in France since 1992 Avoman (talk) 07:36, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Sebastian roché.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Information icon Hello, I'm JDDJS. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Hello, Avoman. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Sebastian Roché, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You are holding yourself out as the subject of the article. It is a bad idea to edit an article written about yourself. See WP:AUTOPROB for guidance on how to address issues with the article.C.Fred (talk) 00:01, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reiterating what you were told last year[edit]

You may not remove material sourced to secondary sources to replace it with your own claims. I suggest that you refrain from editing the Sebastian Roché article. If necessary, you will be blocked from editing that article to prevent disruption.

If you are Roché, as you claim, you really should not edit the article at all; you should request any edits at the talk page and let independent editors make the changes. —C.Fred (talk) 23:04, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • About redacting your date of birth: your day of birth is cited to a statement you made on the internet. In some cases, we generalize the date of birth to just the year, but since you've provided the exact date, there's no reason to do that. Age/date of birth is relevant in biographical articles, provided it's reliably sourced. The dob appears to be sourced; I need to do a little archive searching to verify it. —C.Fred (talk) 23:29, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 00:01, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked from the article Sebastian Roché[edit]

Hello. Due to a failure to comply with our conflict of interest policy and other issues including:

I have blocked you from editing the article Sebastian Roché indefinitely. Typically it is best for articles not to be edited by people who are close to the subject, or are the subject themselves. It can sometimes be done if the user carefully adheres to our conflict of interest policy, however you have not done this.

This block can be lifted by any administrator if they are convinced that you understand the issues at hand and are willing and able to remedy them.

You still have access to the article talk page and you can bring up concerns there. Please note that being the subject of the article does not give you any special authority over it and changes you suggest will need to be backed up by independent reliable sources.

If you wish to contest this block you may do so using the unblock template like so: {{unblock | reason=your reason here ~~~~}}

Hello there,
I would like to be unblocked from editing my page as it is full of factual errors about me and my career. I would also like to add that I have dual nationality and would like it to be added on my page. I have been a British passport holder all my life. I have a question. How is it not best for the subject to edit his own page when administrators are doggedly keep making mistakes about my page. There is a bullying aspect to wikipedia that is very worrisome in my opinion. I have been trying to change the horrendous photo on my page for years. Let people who have the true info edit their own page not some administrators who play a guessing game about my origins and seemingly don't seem to have the correct information. I am not a French actor only, I haven't resided there for more than 30 years, I was a dual national when i resided there, worked in England, moved to the US and am now an American citizen.
Thank you for your understanding
Best
