Image source problem with File:Cocos Island Emblem.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Cocos Island Emblem.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:18, 19 December 2018 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:18, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Disambiguation link notification for August 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Armorial of Indonesia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ambon (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Hello, I'm Soetermans. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Poop emoji that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 16:12, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Soetermans good, I want you to notice me because you clearly thinks that NPR is a trivial source. Maybe next time read the references first because it's more clear cut than WP:NOTNEWS which are very subjective Afif Brika1 (talk) 16:16, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You have been here since July 2016. I shouldn't have to tell you that a personal attack is not an appropriate way of getting people to notice you. We can discuss the article on its talk page. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 17:09, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I'm here since 2016, so I know how to deal with insufferable admin or ordinary editor with god complex. Thank you for mentioning that Mr. Beer Connoisseur.
If you think that i'm using personal attack against you maybe you should touch real grass. You put your entire personal detail online, that's not a sign of a sane person Afif Brika1 (talk) 17:31, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Wow. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 17:36, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you should take some time off Wikipedia. You don't seem to be willing to be friendly to your fellow editors. And I am certified beer sommelier, not a connoisseur. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 17:37, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
or maybe just shut up, and let other editors do the work. I've seen your contribution and you're just undoing and reverting, what kind of contribution is that. At least I'm creating so many pages in my local wikipedia, providing value for the greater good Afif Brika1 (talk) 17:48, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, I won't shut up. That you create many pages for your local Wikipedia does not mean you can be rude to another person, do you understand that? Please, take another good look at my edit history: I've been here since 2006 and contribute how I can. What I definitely do not do though is using personal attacks to my fellow editors. Have you considered going back to you local Wikipedia? This one doesn't seem to match with your attitude. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 17:55, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's my duty as a good wikipedian to protect younger member (7 years in my case) from being forced into submission by older member like you. Joining early doesn't mean that you're superior. Other editor have rights to edit freely. One of wikipedia principle is BE BOLD
I'm well versed in various wikipedia rules like image copyright or references. No thanks, I don't need teaching session about Wikipedia Afif Brika1 (talk) 18:07, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are forgetting basic WP:CIVILITY though. It's just one of the five pillars this community is based upon, but what do I know? I'm just a dumb person with a god complex, a beer connaisseur who puts his personal details online 🤷🤷🤷 soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 18:10, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
WP:WHATEVER, look! I can cite wiki guideline, I'm so smart, now i want to revert other people edits too Afif Brika1 (talk) 18:27, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am not convinced you're WP:HERE. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 18:32, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
of course you're not convinced because you're losing the argument. Just citing WP:NOTNEWS is not a valuable comment because it's highly subjective, and you can't even defend your subjectivity in the poop emoji talk page.
Special:Contributions/Afif_Brika1 - I have contribute so much to this website that are filled with vandal like you, I'm here to stay and edit more Afif Brika1 (talk) 18:43, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. Wikipedia aims to provide a safe environment for its collaborators, and harassing other users, as you did on Talk:Poop emoji, potentially compromises that safe environment. If you continue to harass other editors, you may be blocked from editing. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 20:22, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop attacking other editors. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 09:42, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

It is your WP:BURDEN to get a WP:CONSENSUS in your favor if your proposed changes are objected to. Sergecross73 msg me 19:15, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

don't worry bro, the latest edit for Poop Emoji is mine, there will be no more edit warring unless @Soetermans decided to create chaos again
And BTW, wars means there is multiple sides, but looks like only me that get this kind of message, it totally show your bias Mr. Admin

@Soetermans I get it, so your friend is an admin, what a privilege
this is my point about how early joiners will force younger member to submission, and you just prove it
There is no way to win against admin, so enjoy it I guess Afif Brika1 (talk) 20:01, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are the one proposing new information that us being contested, so the onus is on you. If you continue to make edits that are being challenged without a consensus, your account will end up temporarily blocked, as would happen to anyone. Please focus your energy more towards working with other editors rather than being so antagonistic like this. Sergecross73 msg me 20:02, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I just read @Soetermans cry for admin help in the poop emoji talkpage, what an embarassment
Come on, argue like a man @Soetermans Afif Brika1 (talk) 20:06, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Final warning - cut it out with this unconstructive comments. Stick to the topic hand. These personal attacks and "fight line a man" provocations are not appropriate, and will get you in trouble too. Please just discuss the content issues at hand on the article talk page, and don't make any changes until you have a consensus to move forward.
There's a common mantra on Wikipedia - "comment on content, not editors - I highly recommend you focus on that. This is a collaborative project - there's no place for goading or harassing others. Sergecross73 msg me 20:12, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am not siding with anyone - I haven't even commented on your actual dispute. And I have no prior thoughts or stances on "poop emoji". I don't care about it at all. What I need from you is to constructively discuss without people on talk pages without any of these attempts at provocation, and dont continually restore contested content additions. Sergecross73 msg me 20:30, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How about you commenting on his continuing harassment on me, because I didn't even left any footprint in his talk page Afif Brika1 (talk) 20:42, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What part of "the burden falls on the one who wants to make the change" do you not understand? That's referring to you. You're the one trying to make a change that's being contested. Stop. And. Discuss. On. Talk. Page. And don't make change until theres consensus. Things like "emojis" are not the sort of urgent information that needs quick resolution. Let others comment on the matter. Blocked[edit]

Earlier in the month, you were warned about edit warring, and then warned, and eventually blocked, for repeatedly unconstructive talk page messages that focused on antagonizing rather than consensus building.

Since your return, you've made two edits: another revert without any consensus building, followed by an unconstructive talk page message that antagonizes.

For directly returning to the same problematic behaviors, you're blocked for 1 month . There's no excuse for such blatant disregard. Either learn how to discuss civilly with other editors, or don't edit Wikipedia. Your next block will be indefinite, so take this to heart. Sergecross73 msg me 10:46, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
