Unspecified source for Image:Aeropolis2001.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Aeropolis2001.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:58, 31 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:58, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Billysheehan2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Billysheehan2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:06, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Response to your comment on my user page

I do consider Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater a notable keyboardist; I also consider most of the names that were deleted from the list several months ago (of which he was one) notable keyboardists. There are a bunch of other progressive rock keyboard players who aren't in the list but are supremely talented and very notable in terms of that; Geoff Downes, for example, and Tony Banks (of Genesis). The list within this article should not be an indiscriminate list of names; I've said that so many times in my edit summaries. I am not disputing the notability of Jordan Rudess as a talented musician; but the list shouldn't even be there anymore, really; there should be a short paragraph listing five or six names at the most. Half the names that are there now should be removed; not because they lack notability or their names aren't famous enough, but because it's an article about something, not a list of something.

Somewhere along the way, people forgot that it was an article about keyboard players. Perhaps Rudess should be mentioned, but in a well written (and well referenced) history of the keyboard player in popular music; not in a long indiscriminate list of eighty-seven names. --Steve Farrell 16:35, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Hmm.... OK. --ΛэтєяиuS 16:44, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

re:Sherinian vandal

I blocked the IP for 24 hours last night. What an odd piece of vandalism, though. The ironic thing is that Derek signed off AOL roughly 30 seconds after the block! — Deckiller 13:01, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of AlogiA (band)

An editor has nominated AlogiA (band), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AlogiA (band) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:44, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Spheric Universe Experience

A tag has been placed on Spheric Universe Experience requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Patton123 21:18, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Notability of Heart of Sun

A tag has been placed on Heart of Sun requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Eeekster (talk) 03:05, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Lukather

I'm going crazy now, because I apparently forgot to add the source when I typed that, and now I can't find the PDF. Will find it soon. Do you think that's the kind of statement that should be cited in the lead if it is cited further down? Anyway, I'm trying to improve the Lukather article as much as possible so any other feedback you have would be helpful. I'm in the middle of trying to expand information on Ever Changing Times and his other solo albums. --Andy Walsh (talk) 15:47, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

I actually thought that statement was original research. Anyway, your doing a great job, keep it up. If you need any kind of assistance, please let me know. --Aeternus (talk) 17:37, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Wikiprojects

I don't know if you're into being in wikiprojects, but I can telly uo appreciate progressive rock music. Therefore:

I'd like to invite you to join the newly-formed Progressive Rock music WikiProject. There are a lot of progressive rock-related articles on Wikipedia that could use a littlelot of attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help us get this project off the ground and a few progressive rock music pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks! User page template

From my talk page:

Hi,

By some coincidence, it seems we have so many things in common. Have a nice day. --Aeternus (talk) 16:11, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

I took your template. I hope you don't mind. As for all the categories, yes, it indeed does seem that we have a lot in common. I apologize if I offended you. If you wish, I will remove the template at once. — NikFreak (leave message) 20:02, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
No, not at all. Sorry if I appeared rude; I don't feel offended in any way. I was only a little bit surprised when I looked at your profile for the first time. Take care ;) --Aeternus (talk) 20:33, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
