Deletions

Hey Petrit, I've been deleting your files, but I was wondering if you wanted User talk:Petrit Augustini/About Me deleted as well? I have already deleted the userpage but I wasn't sure if you wanted the associated talk page deleted. Cheers, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 17:44, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Okay, I think everything you tagged is deleted now. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 17:56, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Expansion of Wikiproject Hard Rock

Dear WikiProject Hard Rock members,
This is a notice about the proposed expansion of the WikiProject, so the scope covers rock music in general, changing it from "WikiProject Hard Rock" to "Wikiproject Rock music". Like I pointed out to the creator, DavidJJJ, what falls under the scope of "hard rock" may come into dispute, and there is no existing WikiProject for rock in general, only WikiProject Alternative music and WikiProject Punk music come somewhat close. This expansion will hopefully in theory be a guide/directory, and bring much needed attention to articles of this genre. DavidJJJ has already given kudos to the idea, and it is encouraged that you express your thoughts and concerns on the WikiProject's talk page before anything goes forward. We hope start the transition soon. Until then, please, make your voice heard! Cheers. -- Reaper X 22:32, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:G3 1997 Poster.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:G3 1997 Poster.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:Mercedes terrell 4.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a free image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Why do you not like Mig11's music you said so on his talk page)? --PaxEquilibrium 22:16, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Help

user:Mig11 is attacking me on my talk page in albanian language. Please stop this or do something to block that person. I have deleted the attacks from my talk page, but they can be found on history. Thank you. --Aeternus 11:09, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Aeternus attacked me first, by using very offensive terms. He does not like my taste of music and that is for him a reason to block me! he deleted the discuscion on his talk page, because his own words (in albanian) are offensive and a try to insult me! I for myself didn`t delete anything, because i do not have anything to hide, as you can see on my talk page! just because I was once blocked (for the first time in wiki, because of the 3rr-rule) he thinks that he can block me whenever he likes that. that is what he wrote in albanian in my talk-page! he is spreadin negativ propaganda in other user pages about me and my taste of music! this is unbeliveable! I hope you can judge this issue neutral (although I was blocked from you :)). Thank you.--Mig11 11:23, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
I do not speak Albanian and am therefore unable to judge whether anyone has been attacked here. I don't know of any admins who do speak it, although you may be able to find one by making a post on WP:AN/I. Stifle (talk) 13:43, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Stifle, I hope you will find someone who knowns albanian language and will translate this 'riot'. Otherwise, I don't want to welcome any word from user:Mig11, neither on my talk page. I wan't to stop Mig11 from writing in my talk page. I hope that this option is allowed. Hope that you will find a translator, --Aeternus 14:18, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Hey, hey, hey; take steps - translate, bolden and cite the personal attacks as well as the diffs. --PaxEquilibrium 16:41, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, but a translation made by each of us will not be proved as neutral. --Aeternus 18:15, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Firstly, I will not be finding someone who knows Albanian, but you can attempt to do so at WP:AN/I if you haven't already done. You cannot stop someone writing in your talk page; you can remove his messages (but this is discouraged, archiving it is better). If you ask him on his talk page not to bother you, then persistent attempts by him to do so could be considered negatively in later dispute resolution. Finally, you also have the option to post a request for comments. Stifle (talk) 20:30, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Rock music

Well, after nearly no response, the expansion of WikiProject Hard Rock has gone ahead. We are now officially known as WikiProject Rock music! We are still in dire need of your participation, to add articles that fall within the scope of rock music, to invite users to join the WikiProject, and to get this show on the road. Be sure to drop by and see the new changes. Feel free to add {{User Wikiproject Rock music}} to your userpage.
I hope to see you around eh? Cheers. -- Reaper X 01:19, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg

Thanks for uploading . I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ~MDD4696 06:44, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Hitman query

You posted some material you found in the original Hitman's install files that never made the game see: Hitman:_Codename_47, and seemed a bit bemused by it. Here's a brief explanation. Many games leave content on the game disc to some degree even if it isn't actually used- due to production vagarities it's often easier to leave unused material there. A notable example is Konami's Metal Gear Solid 2, where an entire sequence was cut due to post-9/11 issues, though the dialogue for the sequence can be found in the game's code. Odds are alternate endings or additional dialogue were planned for Hitman but never recorded (possibly time or budget issues with the English audio team). If this has already been covered, sorry for bothering you! Hyperspacey 03:38, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I always welcome different opinions. Thank you very much for this. --Λeternus 12:50, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello WikiProject Alternative music member.
WikiProject Alternative music, in my eyes, has proved to be successful "improving the encyclopaedic coverage of articles relating to alternative rock", and improving their quality as well. One specific example I have witnessed is The Smashing Pumpkins article. The page has gone from a mediocre work, to GA status, to FA nomination. Only appropriate, as the Pumpkins are undeniably one of the most influential alternative rock bands on the 1990's and beyond.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently ressurected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and not only be a member of alternative Wikipedians, but the rockin' ones as well.
Rock on.

Edit summary

Please be a lot better at writing edit summaries after editing articles. Lately someone has changed some spelling on parts of Circus Maximus, and I believe it's you due to you being the last editor of the article. However, since you are not good at writing edit summaries, I cannot know for sure. Fluffy 05:20, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:DATAbono.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:DATAbono.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Am I correct in assuming that you question about absolute pitch was glib and or Rhetorical ??? If not then the answer be a resounding NO WAY JOSE. We are everywhere.

Hello, ProgressiveAeternus. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Jesper kyd.jpg) was found at the following location: User talk:ProgressiveAeternus/Archive Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 10:05, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
