February 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm HundenvonPenang. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, George Town Central Business District, Penang, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. In addition, please provide proof for your assertion that Jawi is the official Malay script in Penang. hundenvonPG (talk) 16:24, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning[edit]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing.

Do not attack other contributors. That will just make things worse for you. Deb (talk) 12:58, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am not attacking, I am simply putting the national script of Malaysia that is Jawi on every towns and cities in my country. 180.75.238.55 (talk) 13:00, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Read about Jawi script 180.75.238.55 (talk) 13:01, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So I am simply asking your permission to put Jawi script which is the national script of Malaysia and has the co-official status within Malaysian constitution. Mandarin and Tamil are not native scripts of Malaysia but nobody removes them, so why people would be triggered if I put Jawi script which has national and historical and still widely used in Malaysia? 180.75.238.55 (talk) 13:06, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've blocked you for 24 hours for attacking other contributors. This is not because of your use of the script, but because of your refusal to accept Wikipedia guidelines. Deb (talk) 13:18, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
please do not remove jawi scripts in those articles. 180.75.238.55 (talk) 13:19, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Malays have Jawi, Indians have Tamil and Chinese have their own script. Jawi is an integral part of Malaysian culture, history and language. 180.75.238.55 (talk) 13:20, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, 180.75.238.55,
I can tell you are frustrated but on Wikipedia, we need to talk over our differences. Calling other editors "racists" has resulted in this block. When this block is over, please use one of the official dispute resolution processes here. If you have questions over which to use or what to do next, please bring them to the Teahouse. When a dispute becomes you against another editor, it always helps to get more editors participating in the discussion. Otherwise, the situation can devolve into an edit war. I hope you will adopt a different attitude when your block lifts. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:10, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The user @Hundenvonpenang not only removes Jawi script which is native to Malaysia but also the Malay language which is the official language and only keep Chinese and Tamil. I considered that to be racist. 180.75.238.55 (talk) 16:19, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for continued edit warring and accusations of racism. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ponyobons mots 22:50, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
He removes Malay translations on placenames in Penang. That is a violation of Wkipedia's policy which allows translations of places in other languages! That is RACISM because Penang's official language is Malay! He only puts Chinese and Tamil translations even though those are not official languages of Penang! Why did you block me even though I did not go against wikipedia policy???
All the Malay translations of Jalan Bukit Kukus Paired Road, Rimau Island, Tikus Island, Andaman Island, Penang, Jerejak Island etc have been removed by him! That is a racist act! 180.75.238.55 (talk) 23:51, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you refuse to stop making unsubstantiated claims of racism against other editors you are likely to see your block extended or lose your ability to post here either. Amortias (T)(C) 23:52, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to me to refrain calling him racist maybe don't remove Malay and Jawi translations? 180.75.238.55 (talk) 01:43, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
the user hundenvonPG has no explain why he remove Malay and Jawi so because of this, I considered him to be a racist. 180.75.238.55 (talk) 01:47, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Malay is the national and official language of Malaysia and Jawi is protected under the constitution of Malaysia as the traditional writing system of Malaysia. 50% of Penang's population is Malay and Jawi has been the traditional script used by Malays for centuries. His reason for removing Jawi and Malay in all translation of placenames is unsubstantiated and racist. He needs to explain his actions or if not, he will be called a racist and this would involve much much bigger than what happens here. 180.75.238.55 (talk) 01:46, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
