Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chonlanan Srikaew, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nan. On the prime minister list[edit]

Hi อย่ามาตบะ listen you have done a lot of good edits on the list but you need to put the military leaders back acting prime ministers are important they should be treated like regular prime ministers . You can put a yellow backround to mark them are as acting as an example look the presidential list of the president of Gabon article as for the reverts 2409:4052:71c:2f26::1e3e:38a5 is not me there is a number of people who are doing bad edits . If you see my history i have reverted edits by acounts like this one . You should request someone to lock the article so that only people with accounts can edit it . Anyway tell me what you think also take care and happy editing Friendlyhistorian (talk) 15:42, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that, but those acting military leaders His team is not the Cabinet. But I have reduced the size and saved space. But some acting officials are still under the Cabinet.

2024 Pakistani general election[edit]

Hi, I've undone your edit where you removed Imran Khan's independent candidates from the infobox. Have you seen the ongoing discussion on the Talk page regarding this matter? You referenced the 2021 Tongan general election, but I believe the situation in Pakistan is different. These independent candidates are supported by PTI/Imran Khan and are being identified as such in reliable sources. Saqib (talk) 10:20, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 5[edit]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of political parties in Thailand, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Localism.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 18:18, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not arbitrarily change data before 2022 until the discussion is concluded. The data you change is probably something that people will disagree about, and that will be done in a discussion. Until these discussions are "finished" and a conclusion is reached, such information must be "previous." In other words, the "problem that the Netherlands in 2022 will be classified in the same way as Norway" was changed based on your own judgment. "Do not make changes until the discussion is over" is not "my personal opinion", but I think it is the etiquette of Wikipedia as a whole. Minchuchui (talk) 22:59, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You say that it confuses viewers, but that in itself is just your opinion. I don't think that's a good reason to arbitrarily change past data without discussion. Even if it is a trivial change such as a color-coded classification, or the reason for unifying data standards, changing past information requires a mature discussion. “Until the discussion is over, we must follow the data released in the past!!” Minchuchui (talk) 23:15, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand, but if you look at the EIU main website, they also changed the colors of past data to reflect the present. อย่ามาตบะ (talk) 02:44, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we need to include that in the discussion. Changes will be made after the conclusion of the discussion. Minchuchui (talk) 03:45, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Official results map"[edit]

Hello. I'm a bit confused by the caption you added to the main 2023 election infobox map. What do you mean by "official" results and why are they different to most voted-for party? Cheers, Number 57 20:00, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That is, Thailand uses a parallel electoral system. This will select both candidates and parties or party lists. อย่ามาตบะ (talk) 02:51, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry if I'm being thick but what does this map show? Is it the winners of the 400 constituency seats? And this one is the most-voted for party in the party-list element of the election? Number 57 22:45, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's right, thanks for your comment. อย่ามาตบะ (talk) 01:38, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks – I have amended the caption in the infobox to try and make this a bit clearer. Cheers, Number 57 09:16, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 20[edit]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2009 Bangkok gubernatorial election, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independent.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 06:07, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Explain to me how WP:5% overrules WP:INFOBOX? WP:LOCALCONSENSUS doesn't trump over global ones. WP:5% does confirm this is mainly confined to US elections, of which this is not (at least not since 1946). Howard the Duck (talk) 12:58, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's not related at all. 5% rule is used in every article. Only applicants with more than 5% of the votes can be included in the inbox. Except there is only one applicant with scores exceeding 5%, which can add 1 more applicant according to this example #list and #list อย่ามาตบะ (talk) 13:11, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No it is not. 2021 Canadian federal election has the People's Party of Canada, which won 4.94% of the vote, and zero seats, on the infobox. Apparently, they're important enough in the narrative of what happened.
Which brings me to... WP:INFOBOX, which is enshrined as a WP:GUIDELINE, trumps WP:5PERCENT, which is... apparently not even an essay? The person you removed from the infobox, Isko Moreno, was discussed more times than the third placed candidate, Manny Pacquiao. You essentially willfully ignored a guideline for... I don't know what that even is LOL. Howard the Duck (talk) 13:19, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
2022 Bangkok gubernatorial election please see this link: Rosana Tositrakul and Sita Tiwaree these two are often talked about as well. But since neither of them had a score less than 5% they were not put in the infobox. อย่ามาตบะ (talk) 13:27, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you still don't understand, you can contact this user. User:Number 57 Try asking this person first. อย่ามาตบะ (talk) 13:35, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know about Bangkok or even Thai politics; the same I guess you know nothing about Filipino politics. If people want to be imposed by the 5% rule willfully ignoring WP:INFOBOX, that's on them. WP:LOCALCONSENSUS, even set by WP:RFCs, don't overrule global consensus.
Yeah, I know User:Number 57; I have no problem with that guy. If the rest of the community's consensus is decidedly against him, that's okay on him. He sometimes imposes his own interpretation, such as WP:NCGAL, which was overruled in Talk:2019 San Marino general election#Mass move request where the community thought it was more in keeping in WP:RS in regards "San Marino" vs. "Sammarinese". After that WP:RM, he no longer imposes that guideline as the community overruled it on an actual RM. Again, global consensus trumps local consensus. Reliable sources trumps whatever math solutions. Howard the Duck (talk) 14:03, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
FWIW, 2011 Singaporean presidential election (the election contested by 4 men all surnamed Tan) had Tan Kin Lian falling in 4.91% of the vote, but was included in the infobox; he was even distant fourth placer. Again, 5% is not a hard and fast rule. Winner Tony appeared 54 times on the article, Cheng Bock 42, Jee Say 28, Kin Lian 29. The bottom two candidates were mentioned just about the same number of times. WP:INFOBOX mandates you to add Kin Lian if you'd add Jee Say. Howard the Duck (talk) 14:44, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Howard the Duck: To clarify, the 5% rule is for presidential/mayoral elections and not for parliamentary ones. However, the 5% rule was agreed via an RfC at WT:E&R, so is not a "local consensus" that applies to a single country or article set. The 2021 RfC outcome was that the 5% rule is "the standard infobox inclusion threshold for all elections" (bolding for emphasis) although "appropriate exceptions may be made via local consensus". I'm not sure what relevance MOS:INFOBOX has here, as it doesn't say anything contradictory to the 5% rule. If you don't think the RfC outcome is valid, I would suggest asking for clarification somewhere like WP:AN.
Also, WP:5% rule isn't an essay in the usual sense; it used to link to the RfC outcome, but someone collated all the RfCs in one place for ease of reference, so it's more like Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Common outcomes – not an essay (as in an editor's thoughts), but rather a useful explainer of past discussions and outcomes. Cheers, Number 57 22:18, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
