This is my farewell. I've spent rather too much time fighting against the bunch of <words fail me> who insist on applying an overly narrow interpretation of even wikipedia's restricted "Fair Use" rules.
I'm fed up with fighting a losing battle so I'm not going to waste any more of my time on a website that has become so utterly pointless & increasingly useless. There was a time whe I would use wikipedia as a first port of call for reference material. Now it's just another secondary source. One that probably won't have an album cover on the album page & won't have a graphical discography - protect the children from such heresy! I had hoped that common sense would prevail. Fat chance.
Betacommand, ESkog & various others; you have driven me off. You feel that those of us that create content are an irritation. Let's see how wikipedia ends up when all that is left is a bunch of idiots who do no meaningful creation & destroy before improving. Enjoy the wikipedia you are creating with crap pages and no useful images. Yes it will all be free but it will suck and nobody will want to use it. Sit in your little cabal making up still more restrictive rules & carry on robotically applying them without rhyme or reason.
