 | This page in a nutshell: WP:ITN is about posting something objectively in the news, not what I think is relevant or to correct "SyStEmIc BiAs" or other nonsensical WP:OR and WP:IDONTLIKEIT. This assessment based on poorly defined, subjective clauses regarding "significance," has just led to ITN becoming a toxic cesspool. Besides, how is it that ITN is the only ubiquitous part of the main page that doesn't update regularly? |
ITN with "muh quality" and "systemic bias" arguments.
ITN when quality and news coverage is the only thing that matters.
If a topic has an article and said article is of good quality, post it.
If a topic has no article, assess its news coverage and post if it receives significant coverage within the places it's occurring in.
If a topic has an article, and you believe it to be of insufficient notability to be posted to ITN, you're in effect saying that this article lacks notability to be on Wikipedia as a whole since the standards for article posting on ITN are never clearly defined, and so you should take the article to WP:AFD.
