hello there! i'm tai, and i'm nineteen! i graduated from high school on May 24, 2022, and i'm now a college student! i'm also active on the tropical cyclones portal (see in Projects section), mainly fixing and editing articles.

you may see me lurking around fixing or editing articles throughout the tropical cyclones wikiproject. and yes, i'm now two years being trans, forgot to add earlier wooo :D

About Me[edit]

hi, i'm tai, and i use he/him pronouns. i'm a trans man, a college student, and an anarcho-communist. while i may not know who i'll be just yet, i feel that it's important to be myself. i also graduated from OHS in 2022, and..yeah!* Here's some of my interests, hope you don't mind.

Interests[edit]

I currently have about seventeen special interests (the main one being tropical cyclones), and new ones including motorcycles, oceanography (growing), mythology, social and ecological liberation (mainly trans liberation, disabled/neurodivergent acceptance, and youth liberation), and reptiles. i have eleven listed here, but a full list will be here if i have time.

Some of my interests include but are not limited to:

art
- I have been fascinated about art since I was a kid, and I still do. There are several ways that I use art, such as to convey emotions or tell a story from my experience as a black trans man.
- It has also inspired me to begin a career that can fulfill me through college and beyond as I can get creative with, well, anything! :D
music
- Music is a heavily peaked interest for me, and it allows me to create a story and follow along to the solemn beat of other experiences, thoughts, and emotions.
psychology
- An interest from tenth grade that really helped me to understand people's emotions. I use this sometimes on my family, but that's ok. :D
- p.s. i love it >:)
fashion
- Fashion is a way to help me express myself in a new way and has always been since I was a kid. Into senior year, my interest in fashion peaked, and I started to dress up in many styles (and even take those designs to school ;)) .
meteorology
- An interest that started when I was affected by Hurricane Irma in 2017, although it was probably before then. It has slowly declined as I entered senior year, but I still have high hopes for this interest. I call it my "special interest", mainly because I've had a huge interest in it.
- fun fact: i have a hyperfixation on tropical cyclones, especially 2017.
astronomy
- An interest that began in tenth grade during COVID-19. It has declined too starting in junior year, but it mostly evolved from my nature interest.
storytelling
- Storytelling had been my interest since sixth grade, although I never talk about it often.
journalism
- An interest that stemmed from my meteorology, nature, and photography interests. I currently have a newspaper ongoing, although in hiatus since November 2021, called "The Weather Post."
history
- History had been an interest since sixth grade, but it has peaked in around tenth grade. I still like history to this day, and it has also expanded along with my meteorology interest (tropical cyclone history)
nature
- Nature was an interest that began in ninth grade. Some stem from this interest.

photography
- An interest that stemmed from my meteorology interest beginning in tenth grade.

- i have been active in the tropical cyclones wikiproject since november 2020 (was invited). i recently helped out with the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season with Tropical Storm Arlene and other contributions. (not alot but yeah)

I'm also an avid socialist who wants to learn more and advocate for the working class. (I have known this since I was 17.)
