Long enough? Yes. 1724 characters (270 words) "readable prose size" according to DYK check.
Within policy Yes. Earwig <1%, clearly notable, and well written.
Both hooks are fine, neither are cited here, but it's clear that the citations are in the article. I will simply say hook 1 is based on source 1 and hook two (ALT1) is based on source 2.
