First official single?[edit]

"Born Free" was released April 23. It is, by all accounts, slated to be on M.I.A.'s forthcoming album. So why does this article say that "XXXO," which just dropped today, is "the first official single from her third studio album?" 70.152.68.251 (talk) 01:09, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because that's what the Entertainment Weekly source says, as do a number of others. Although the line's a bit blurred these days in the era of iTunes, I think "Born Free" is considered more of a promo/"official leak" than an actual single. It only seems to have had a limited release (not on Amazon, for example, whereas "XXXO" is), doesn't seem to have been released to radio, etc -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:12, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Release date[edit]

Why does the article say it is scheduled for a digital download release in July, when it's already been on iTunes for several weeks......? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:47, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't speculate[edit]

"The video contains some possible political references as M.I.A. is disguised as a leopard during one of the shots.[citation needed]"

How about someone clean this stuff up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.22.236.230 (talk) 19:07, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
