Is there any particular reason for mentioning his recent music festivals? I don't see any similar entries for other living composers. Colophony (talk) 16:35, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have proposed the merging because the article List of compositions by William Bolcom has very less content and that too without any references. In the other hand, the article William Bolcom doesn't have much content by itself. So I don't see why not merge the article.
Thanks. tausif(talk) 15:34, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. The usual trend on Wikipedia lately (by which I mean the last three or four years) has been to split off lists of composition from composer biographies, whenever those lists become substantially complete and, therefore, unwieldy. The Bolcom list looks fairly complete to me, even if his output does not rival in quantity the works of, say, Vivaldi, Handel, Villa-Lobos, or Hovhaness. As to the issue of lack of content in this main biographical article, incorporating a mindless list of works is a poor substitute for expansion in prose, where the significance of particularly notable works, their performance history, and critical reception can usefully be included.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 17:05, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
