Untitled[edit]

Why was the soundtrack information deleted? It was relevant to the article and there was no point in removing it. --blm07 00:23, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Improving tone[edit]

This article contains good information, but is written in a first-person style and contains fragment sentences and typos. It could use an overhaul to be more "encyclopedic" in tone, according to Wikipedia's definition. Lindmere 22:18, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DTMF?[edit]

Does DTMF have a different meaning at Disney than in the rest of the world, or is someone just perpetuating an error they heard somewhere? 24.23.132.161 23:10, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, they definitely use DTMF tones broadcast over a low power transmitter in order to synchronize the SMPTE generators on each unit. At least they certainly did back when I was involved.... Charlie Richmond 06:14, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Are you sure that it's not just SMPTE Time Code which is in binary form. It sounds a lot like DTMF tones, but is really just the time code counting. Tiggerjay 04:14, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'm absolutely certain it is DTMF - they used that because it was easier to transmit over low power RF links without dropping data, which was more likely using LTC and definitely better than some sort of digital transmission format which was in its infancy back then. Furthermore, they used DTMF only to synchrnonize the start of each minute of time with a short burst of DTMF tones rather than send out continuous time code. There was an onboard TC generator that simply resynched with the DTMF tones at the top of each minute. Charlie Richmond 17:41, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Start Year[edit]

I'm sure this parade actually started in 1991 or earlier in Florida. I was holidaying there in October of that year, and I remember seeing it then. Andrew (My talk) 23:55, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The unit listing is correct. I listed the units as they are whole. Each one is not considered its own unit. The hitched units are considered as one, that's why I listed them as 3 units hitched. You can add after that the characters that are on it. There is no Maleficent unit, and some of the characters added were wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.195.68.114 (talk) 00:42, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Site Link[edit]

Hi, I added a link to the SpectroMagic page on my web site SpectroMagic which has a lot of pictures of SpectroMagic... I thought this was relevant and would be ok... and I see links on other attraction wiki pages to slideshows and videos... but it was deleted as spam or something... if I shouldn't add it sorry for adding it and won't try to again... but I would think people looking for spectromagic may be interested. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Peterpanfan1953 (talkcontribs) 20:37, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Plans for Summer 2011[edit]

I hope this parade comes to Disneyland in time for Summer Nightastic 2011! 75.51.185.120 (talk) 21:11, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
