My 5th & 4th great-grandfathers settled in this area after the Revolution. John Martin Sr & sons John Jr & James Patrick were given several hundred acres of bounty land. John Jr moved to Jackson, Missouri (Louisana Purchase) in 1806. James Patrick's families drifted south through Alabama & Louisana.
