  • "The ship went on two more cruises abroad, the first in 1874–1876 and the second in 1876–1878." This is, of course, after the Franko-Prussian War.
    • I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here.
  • Any idea when Napoleon blocked the sale to the CSA?
    • None of the sources specifically state why - I'm sure the US government was leaning hard on him to block it
  • "on the Pacific coast of the island"? I'm confused, what island?
    • Must have had Puerto Rico in my head - not that that island has a Pacific coast!
  • "Augusta slated to leave" Augusta was slated to leave?
    • Good catch
  • "Apia and joined the two gunboats on station there" If she left Apia, where did she go on station?
    • Clarified.
