Death[edit]

I cannot find any reliable sources for his death. Not even routine obituaries. His death has been mentioned in white supremacist blogs and similar, but none of these are reliable, and it's plausible that this started with one blog and got picked-up by the rest. I don't think it's likely, since the death of a 95-year old isn't exactly an extraordinary claim, but regardless, per WP:BLP, this really should be supported by a reliable source. These blogs seem to agree he died in Washington DC if that's of any help. Grayfell (talk) 23:24, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I originally thought that this was good enough https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/name/roger-pearson-obituary?id=48211781 until I realized the location and date of death was off, sorry I will keep looking for a non-white supremacist source for this death. I don't doubt the guy is dead, but I looked as well and asked various anti-far-right researchers, and we can't find anything except white nationalist blogs ... here's to a better source mentioning it some time - David Gerard (talk) 17:53, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Is the best source we really have American fucking Renaissance? Nobody else reported on it? Death Editor 2 (talk) 02:12, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Basically! Trouble is that when these guys finally die, nobody cares except their fellow travellers. Same problem with Richard Lynn, who died a few days ago - we have a tweet from a far-right conspiracist youtuber, a VDARE article elaborating on the tweet, and that's it. Need to get onto SPLC or someone whose wheelhouse these fellows are in. Doesn't help that "Roger Pearson" is a common enough name to make Google near useless for the task - David Gerard (talk) 10:10, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm perfectly fine with removing the American Renaissance source, but we still need at least something, per WP:BDP. Lynn is still recent, but for Pearson, it's been over six months and I still haven't seen anything better on this. Grayfell (talk) 22:21, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Neither of those are reliable sources. See the above discussion. Grayfell (talk) 00:39, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Should be mentioned. 2603:6080:5900:99:D4D0:A3A2:F8BE:EDFA (talk) 19:50, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

See the above discussions. We need a reliable source. Pretentious blogs are not reliable sources.
