I have removed the word Shi'a from the phrase "Shi'a Imam". It is wrong to refer to the 12 Imams as Shi'a as the Ismaili Shi'a believe only in the first five. Also incorrect is to refer to them as Shi'a Imam only as the non Wahhabi Sunnies (who are the majority among sunnies) also believe in all 12 Imams. The status of 12th Imam is the only dispute between Athna Ashri Shi'a method and the non Wahhabi Sunni method. Hassanfarooqi 14:25, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

--You are sorely mistaken. Sunnis do not accept the 11 Shi'a imams as being more important than other ulama of the past. We do accept the imams as being pious Muslims and (at least the first few imams) as being scholars. The Wahhabis also take a similar stance. The difference is, that the Wahhabis have are not as close to the Ahl al Bayt as the Sunnis because they have destroyed historical sites and do not follow any Sufi tariqas. I have also edited the part about Koondays because they are not sanctioned by Sunni Islam, even though some Sunnis do celebrate it as part of culture, rather than religion.
