People[edit]

Sequencing/programming is used by countless musicians all over the world, yet the two named artists are Japanese video game composers. Including only these two individuals gives the article a distorted view on who actually programs music. The article describes broadly what is used and where it is used, but doesn't say what it is. What specific things does a music programmer do? How would a song that involves music programming be different if no programming occurred? What specific tools/parameters are involved in programming or what type of effects does it result in? This article confuses two different senses of the word 'programming'.[edit]

There is a sense of the word programming (in a musical context) that refers to rather specialised activity use of a music coding language, and another sense referring to the more mainstream activity of making sounds by using the pre-provided facilities in a piece of musical equipment.
