GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
The prose is Ok, but see notes below for point b under 'MoS Issues'.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
Enough refs for the amount of content, the sources are Ok and this contains no Original Research.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
The article's major aspects are fine, point b is alright.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
    It seemed fair to me.
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
    The page is stable.
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
No non-free images and comments below are fixed.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail: Passed! – Plarem (User talk contribs) 15:08, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Comments[edit]

  1. The caption is not fine in point 6. It has the name of the article, not saying when. That is the only thing to that.  Done
  2. MoS Issues  Done
    1. Linking plain English words is a pretty big problem here. WP:OVERLINK specifically says:
      Avoid linking plain English words.
As a rule of thumb, link on first reference only.
Avoid linking units of measurement that aren't obscure. If a metric and a non-metric unit are provided, as in 18 °C (64 °F), there is no need to link either unit because almost all readers will understand at least one of the units.
For example charity walk in Pathlight School#History should become charity walk. And so on in the article.
And I put the second rule there because you have Singapore dollar linked twice.
The third rule is there because in Pathlight School#Campus you have kilometres squared and square miles BOTH linked with hectares linked.  Done
Hi there. Just curious, what do you mean by requiring the article to go through C- and B-class? Ruby comment! 01:12, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Fixes for overlinking, and slight expansion to image caption, are now  Done --Demiurge1000 (talk) 20:14, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • The 'Major aspects' bit is at neutral because you have left out:
  1. The school culture, which is their
    1. Uniform

Do you realise that the link below is of a vandalised version? Another editor copy-pasted the contents of Raffles Institution into Pathlight School, but was quickly reverted. Moreover, do you realise that Pathlight School, being only six years old, has very few alumni, and that a special school would not organise annual camps and trips?
Primary and secondary schools in Singapore have a standardised national curriculum, which Pathlight School follows. This is in the Programmes section, along with information about the key curriculum difference (mother tongue lessons replaced with life skills lessons), accommodations for the learning needs of the students and activities to prepare the students for life. Is that insufficient?
I will look for information about the uniform, but I would also like to quote Phua Chu Kang: Please lah, use your blain! --J.L.W.S. The Special One (talk) 08:10, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, then I am very sorry for that... – Plarem (User talk contribs) 21:44, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Will we forget about the uniform?
I think so...
Will I give this GA status?
Why not?
