O&A and thirtysomething[edit]

The article aludes only vaguely to the show's relationship to thirtysomething, and the later article doesn't mention O&A at all. But wouldn't it be fair to say that O&A is a loose sequel to 30-s? Or is that stretching the thematic and plotwise connection? Alai 15:57, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A very loose sequel. Only Miles Drentell brings both series together.

By the way, who says the series will return to TV real soon? "Lifetime Real Women" dropped the show over two years ago. There was some speculation that "We-Women's Entertainment" would air the repeats, but it was just that. Me, I have my two DVD sets, and my off-air tapes of the third season to keep me happy, since Buena Vista seems contented to sit on the third season DVD sets. - Adambomb1701 19:48, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The plotwise sequel connection is stretching it beyond credibility, but I think thematically O&A is a natural extension of much of the material covered by 'thirtysomething'. BTW, anyone who has Season Three on tape should really consider archiving them on DVD, given the inevitable deterioration of magnetic tape over time. - Mr. Dude Man

There's speculation that ABC wants to find a new DVD licensee, and re-release the entire series. Including season three. [1]. The main reason why season three was pulled is probably that the seasons one and two sets didn't meet sales expectations. - Adambomb1701 16:33, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
