Backwards R[edit]

The character used as a backwards R is not a backwards R. It is the Cyrillic letter Ya, meaning that the name is pronounced "mir-ya-ors". Georgia guy (talk) 22:30, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While that could be true I do beleive that the makers of the film just think of it as a mirrored R (compare the 2 and you see they are just mirrored) and that they prefer to call it Mirrors. 84.195.196.193 (talk) 17:30, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

new title[edit]

Phil76 in creating MIRЯORS (film) you made a number of mistakes:

when making a new title, we move the article, we do not do copy&paste which hides the history
when making a redirect as in this state, we replace the entire text. We do not add a redirect tag and leave the text in place.
I think the article lives better on this title: any use of capitals is SHOUTING and the use of Ya is an amusing visual trick but inappropriate for a serious encyclopedia.

Into the Mirror[edit]

The article currently states-

Alexandre Aja has mentioned that this project is not a remake of the 2003 South Korean horror film Into the Mirror, though there are some similarities.[2]

Yet at the beginning of the credits, it says something along the lines of "Based on the Korean film Into the Mirror". I think the line in the article should be worded to show a stronger connection, as with the current wording it seems like the similarities are accidental. Yeah I mean on the Alexandre Aja page theres a little mention of Mirrors there, and it says its a remake, which clearly contradicts the "its not a remake" comment of this page. Does anyone know if this is actually a remake? Captainkid (talk) 14:18, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The DVD extra features says it is a remake, but they threw out most of the stuff from he Korean original... so it's a "reimagining" (if you think of Battlestar Galactica); it's quite similar though... fire in a department store, an ex-cop, ending up in the mirror world at the end, haunted mirrors... 76.66.196.139 (talk) 14:14, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Poster?[edit]

There is a poster of an anime in the part where Amy seems Michale's refection stay in the mirror. I was surprised that they put it there. Its I think [Negima]. I didn't imagine to see a anime poster in a horror movie, let alone in a child's room, he's like what 6? and in the anime there is like nudity for like teenagers. But whatever. Mikey's room has two anime posters, Negima and Tsubasa Chronicle. Yes, they are odd choices. While it's possible for a 6 year old boy to be an anime fan, he'd more likely be involved in action-oriented things which had television broadcasts. In the 90s it would've been dragonball, in 2007-2008 I'm guessing Naruto or Bleach. While there was an English DVD released for the first season of Tsubasa Chronicle, it's not the type of things a beginner would have access to. Would be interested in knowing which set designer put those in, perhaps as a joke. ScratchMarshall (talk) 01:24, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
