Examples ?[edit]

Well, any electrostatic field must be irrotational in order to be conservative, and it will be divergenceless in regions of zero charge-density. So if these are the criteria, any electrostatic field in regions containing no charge (and by analogy, any (Newtonian) gravitational field in a region containing no mass). --catslash 14:29, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
