Untitled[edit]

I organized the information, fixed some spelling/grammar, and removed the copyedit tag. Alexiskatherine (talk) 15:58, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BBC Documentary[edit]

I have changed the direction of the external link. It no longer goes to a partial youtube snippet, but to the full length documentary on GoogleVideo.

Title of the article[edit]

Hi all

The most common spelling of the tribe is Kogi, google for example gives 451,000 [1]

I cannot understand why it is still titled "Koguis", google gives 89,000 [2]

National Geographic also gives them as Kogi [3] as does the Guardian newspaper [4] and the NYT have called them Kogi since 1999 [5].

I notice that the BBC are calling them the Kogui [6]

Can anyone assist please and explain why this is so? Chaosdruid (talk) 01:07, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I will change them all to "Kogi." Yopienso (talk) 22:04, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Slash-and-burn[edit]

I've just cited to a PDF from SMU that reads, "After centuries of slash-and-burn cultivation, most of the slopes that are farmed by the Kogi are devoid of trees and now covered with grass." (Here's the html version.) This seems to be a quote from Ereira, but may be from David Wilson. I'm going to ask an acquaintance who was raised near and among the Kogis if she was aware of their slash-and-burn farming. This, of course, would not be a RS.
