Launch date:[edit]

The launch[www.spaceflightnow.com] of Astro-H was postponed from the planned date of 12 February 2016 due to weather concerns at the launch site. However, a new launch date/time has not yet been set by JAXA as of 14 February and it is difficult to predict when the spacecraft will be launched. South Atlantic Anomaly[edit]

https://www.engadget.com/2016-04-29-rip-hitomi.html says "[...] went on the fritz when Hitomi passed the South Atlantic Anomaly".

The South Atlantic Anomaly article construes that as "The SAA is believed to have started a series of events leading to the destruction of the Hitomi".

I guess it would be worth mentioning? I know nothing about the topic so anyone understanding that stuff please do it, thanks a lot! :-) Syced (talk) 14:13, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
