User:Onel5969 and User:Sphilbrick, sorry for the mentions but I just wanted to clarify because I noticed User:SomeWhatLife said in the edit history of Green, Green that the English translation of the song found here was in the public domain, was it not? What i'm saying is that it was released before 1976, so it's copyright has expired. SomeWhatLife (talk) 13:44, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- SomeWhatLife, even if that was the case, which I'm pretty sure it isn’t (I’m pretty sure works made before 1978 are protected by copyright until 90 years after the work’s creation, [1]) modern translations of public domain works, like the Bible, are still protected by copyright so wouldn’t the blog post, and by extension, the translation of the Japanese version of Green, Green in it be protected by copyright either way?
