Thank you for creating a very useful article. However please be careful with slick wording at the expense of accuracy, which gives the article an essayish appearance in some places. House of Brandenburg[edit]

The most famous example came when in 1762 ,during the Seven Years' War, Empress Elizabeth had almost destroyed Frederick the Great of the Kingdom of Prussia and then she suddenly died; the new tsar Peter III was a friend of Frederick, who unexpectedly survived. He called it the Miracle of the House of Brandenburg.

In general, the flow of the lede is not completely logical. I hope it will be rewritten when the article was complete. The lede must be a summary of the article content, which is not exactly so now. Staszek Lem (talk) 00:03, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The lede is not used to "explain" anything. The lede is a summary. All explanations belong to the article body. And while we are at it, the "central importance of tsar" belongs to the article "tsarist autocracy". Please expand the latter article with the issue of importance of tsar, including this example, where it indeed will be an important addition. (and BTW please fix the text I cited, after reading, e.g., Miracle of the House of Brandenburg, or, better, original reliable sources; I could have done it myself, but I am of limited expertise) Staszek Lem (talk) 19:01, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
