This article was previously tagged for neutrality, all the way back in 2007, for having read as an "advertisement" for the subject. It appears to have been originally written and/or edited by the subject himself, or perhaps someone close to the Erik Wemple. Recent editing though might have cleaned some of that up. It might be time to take off the "advertisment" warning/tag, although careful watch should continue to prevent any additional self-editing by the subject.

Also if anyone knows of any additional awards or important stories Wemple has won or written, that would help the article along. I found one story he received a lot of credit for breaking. But does he have just the one award? Are there any others anyone knows of? Really just the one? Surely a reporter and editor of his stature has more than the one, but none appear to be found online.
